Wonderful discovery: a charming restaurant nestled in the heart of a very picturesque village, the service is very attentive and the food is of a very high standard. We will of course go back very soon :)

Courteous and welcoming staff, a slightly dated environment, food... normal. The tagliolini would have been good if only they had added salt during cooking. Medium/small portions. I was there several years ago and nothing has changed.

In viaggio verso Tortona volevamo pranzare perché già prossimi alle 13:30. Abbiamo chiamato e il titolare (che poi abbiamo scoperto essere napoletano) ci ha accolti con grande calore e disponibilità. I piatti, tutti molto originali, ci hanno restituito i valori del territorio e della qualità. Grande attenzione per le materie prime in un ambiente familiare in cui, il servizio, fa e deve fare sempre la differenza. Da non trascurare l’attenzione per i nostri bambini (6 e 3 anni) per i quali per ogni portata ci veniva chiesto se necessitavamo di variare il piatto per i loro gusti. Quasi quasi ci è dispiaciuto andar via perché saremmo tornati volentieri anche la sera. Bravi tutti!!!

Popular Osteria in the center of Sarezzano
The landscape of Piedmont in the province of Alesandria on the border with Liguria is characterized by huge grain and rice fields.
Wine only grows in the somewhat steeper hills around Tortona, the Colle Tortonesi. The vineyard called Derthona is still almost untouched by tourism.
The small mountain village of Sarezzano is one of the places that presents itself authentically to the visitor.
The Osteria and Bar La Rava e la Fava is located on the village square near the church. It is the only restaurant in the town center and the terrace on the village square is always busy at lunchtime and in the evening.
The fact that there were no local alternatives to this restaurant wasn't a problem. Because during our visit it turned out that the cuisine was surprisingly good and creative.
Our Primi exceeded our expectations: Homemade Spaghetti alla Chitarra Cacio & Pepe with a Pecorino ice cream topping was just as much of a pasta highlight as the Capellini with Colatura die Alici, a raw scampo and bottarga. The anchovy sauce from the Amalfi Coast is considered Italian umami among foodies.
After this culinary surprise in the village, we were curious about the main courses - they would also have been a credit to any upscale restaurant: low-temperature cooked,
Suckling pig fillet marinated in smoked honey sauce with caramelized Tropea onions and striped bream fillets fried with seafood and a pepperoni-orange cream with black olive powder and taralli (small half-round breadsticks).
The inconspicuous village restaurant impressively proves why Piedmont cuisine is so popular with gourmets.
We paid an extremely cheap 74 euros for the excellent dinner for two - Happy Italy!

A trattoria that offers an attractive and appetizing menu with land and sea dishes. Well-matched flavors and first-choice ingredients. Friendly courteous staff who propose, with a smile, what the kitchen prepares. It's worth the stop, the detour and also the journey. Excellent quality/price ratio.
When we returned after a few months we repeated the positive experience: well done!

They had "emigrated" to Tortona and now returned to the little square of Serazzano! Excellent and always excellent dishes. Osteria that differs for the better from other establishments in the area for its delicious and tasty offerings. At midday also menus at very competitive prices.
