A true Osteria unlike any other, a piece of history. The innkeeper, Claudio, is a legend; at 90 years old and still in top form, he'll entertain you with stories about the food and the history of the place. Simple, authentic food, excellent homemade wine, and reasonable prices. A wonderful experience.

A charming place just off the highway where you can eat deliciously and experience memories of times gone by. I highly recommend it.

Found by chance, chosen for the images of the rooms and the meatballs, La Piola is more than just a fantastic old-fashioned osteria where you eat well, don't pay a cover charge, and enjoy the cool breeze and good wine. Osteria La Piola is a living history. That of Signor Claudio—or rather, "the damned innkeeper," as he likes to call himself. He welcomed us and introduced us to the history of this place where practically everyone has eaten! First, Enzo Ferrari, Claudio's friend and customer, with his chair back to the wall and facing the door, with his culinary habits and pointed remarks for unwelcome (to him) guests. So much history, from that of Claudio's aunt, who died at 112, a friend of D'Annunzio, to Guareschi, but also Lucio Dalla and Pavarotti. A place where the road ends and history begins. A place where you simply feel good, timelessly. Thank you, Mr. Claudio and Jaid (I hope that's how you spelled the name) for welcoming and serving us at La Piola. See you soon! This 18th-century inn is a pleasant, slightly rural setting. We dined outside under the pergola, while inside the room is filled with historical relics. The host entertains guests with anecdotes about Ferrari, who was a regular. The fixed menu is typical of Modena, perhaps more suitable for the cooler months. Good value, and the food is plentiful.

We had warned them we'd be running late, and they kindly waited for us. We ate deliciously, and they even prepared a vegetarian main course for me. The nettle spaghetti is unforgettable! The place itself is a veritable museum, full of history, photos, and vintage artifacts.

The owner is very kind and knowledgeable... the food is truly good, reflecting the authentic osteria of years past. A must try!

I was traveling from the Netherlands to Italy, by car, with a dog. By chance, while walking the dog, I discovered this restaurant from a gas station. It is purely Italian and the owners were very hospitable and friendly. I sat outside and drank special coffee and ate some cheese and salad. Many thanks and I recommend this place to everyone!

Osteria carinissima sembra quasi fiabesco il titolare amabilissimo e super professionale piccolo meno tutto molto vecchi tempi veramente una perla nascosta. Tutto ineccepibile. Dalle foto di personaggi famosi sembra rinomato da almeno 50 anni. Ci ritorneremo volentieri

Quando, in una camera d'albergo, dopo aver invano ricercato un tavolo libero nei vari ristoranti modenesi, l'8 marzo (....festa della donna), ti imbatti, per caso nella Trattoria frequentata dal grande Enzo Ferrari, non puoi che ritenersi FORTUNATO. Partendo dell'accoglienza CALOROSA e FAMILIARE, si prosegue con le prelibatezze dei piatti dal sapore unico di una volta. Tutto accompagnato da un vinello di loro produzione BUONISSIMO. Insomma, se dopo aver visitato i due Musei Ferrari (Maranello e Modena) volete concludere in bellezza, QUESTO È IL POSTO GIUSTO
