I'm back and if something has changed it's certainly for the better. Having lunch under a cool pergola in the open countryside less than a kilometer from the Modena Nord motorway exit warms my heart and stomach every time, my dog and my grandson can run around here without any danger in complete freedom. Long live the few remaining taverns. I ate traditional Modena cuisine, too bad I live 150km away, I would certainly come more often.

I was with friends in this legendary tavern, pleasant and warm environment, courteous staff and friendliness of the innkeeper who entertains with historical anecdotes about the place and its customers. Quality food from the Modena poor tradition, simple, the kind that makes you feel a bit at home.
Normal prices (nowadays).
We hope that these corners will be preserved over time.

Beautiful experience! I often pass through Modena and I only discovered this old tavern now, when they are all disappearing, fresh things made day by day and more than honest, highly recommended.

A tasty dinner, with good food and many memories of important personalities who passed in this tavern! Pavarotti was a friend of the owner, with whom I had the opportunity to exchange a few words. I will gladly return as soon as I have the chance.

We went to this tavern on the recommendation of a friend.
It wasn't a lunch, it was an experience. The owner told us personal anecdotes and stories about the tavern, which has existed for generations.
Absolutely worth a visit.

It’s like going back in time to “vecchia Modena” , they greet you with a smile at the entrance and tell you stories between courses. The food is really good, fresh and hand made. They call it the “last osteria”, and i think they might be right, apparently they don’t do any advertising, so i thought i should do it for them. No wonder it was Enzo Ferrari’s favourite restaurant. The guy running is an 88 year old who knew Enzo personally, and was the brother in law of Pavarotti.

Osteria carinissima sembra quasi fiabesco il titolare amabilissimo e super professionale piccolo meno tutto molto vecchi tempi veramente una perla nascosta. Tutto ineccepibile. Dalle foto di personaggi famosi sembra rinomato da almeno 50 anni. Ci ritorneremo volentieri

Quando, in una camera d'albergo, dopo aver invano ricercato un tavolo libero nei vari ristoranti modenesi, l'8 marzo (....festa della donna), ti imbatti, per caso nella Trattoria frequentata dal grande Enzo Ferrari, non puoi che ritenersi FORTUNATO.
Partendo dell'accoglienza CALOROSA e FAMILIARE, si prosegue con le prelibatezze dei piatti dal sapore unico di una volta. Tutto accompagnato da un vinello di loro produzione BUONISSIMO.
Insomma, se dopo aver visitato i due Musei Ferrari (Maranello e Modena) volete concludere in bellezza, QUESTO È IL POSTO GIUSTO
