Nice rustic place, very good food. It would be a 5 star but... The flaw is the service, zero smiles, annoyed faces with grimaces of intolerance... In catering, kindness should come first together with the environment and the food. Just like the required assessment items…

Ristorante molto accogliente,con camino,ampio parcheggio,uno dei migliori di S.Daniele del Friuli. Sono tornati dopo 2 anni, sempre ottimo,la sig.Silva vi fa sentire a casa, prociutto caprino e mostarda di arancia,(fatta in casa) fantastici, radicchio rosa di Gorizia e polenta molto ben servito,gnocchi e ravioli ripieni di carne d'oca buonissimi, ottima fiorentina e filetto,per concludere dolci fatti in casa d'avvero buoni, prezzi veramente bassi per la qualità del cibo e per l'accoglienza! Da ritornare prossimo viaggio in Friuli!

Ampio parcheggio e toilette pulite. L' entrata e il caminetto ti da subito un senso di ospitalità e famigliarità, ci sono tutti i presupposti per sentirti come a casa tua. Il servizio ineccepibile, simpatico e celere. Ottimo il presciutto, mi è stato servito il gambetto che era una leccornia che non tutti esibiscono. I primi e i secondi tipici di buona caratura, la Pecagna tenera e cotta al punto giusto. I dolci, delle sfiziosità locali, di ottimo livello, i vini non si discutono. Il rapporto qualità/prezzo sono un po' altini ma, a San Daniele, è nella norma. Lo consiglio per compagnie e anche per due.

An excellent experience for a family lunch
We chose this restaurant for a family lunch and were very satisfied. The dishes are prepared with great care: I personally tried the snails Bourguignonne and the lamb chop, both excellent.
One of the striking aspects is the maturing refrigerator visible at the entrance, which displays perfectly preserved cuts of meat. The exposed grill is also an interesting touch that enriches the experience. The selection of wines is truly remarkable, a strong point not to be underestimated.
A round of applause also to the owner, very helpful and approachable, with whom it was pleasant to exchange a few words at the end of the meal.
A small suggestion: it might be useful to refine the wine table service to make it more in line with the level of the dishes and the wine list.
In general, a restaurant that I highly recommend for those looking for good food, attention to the quality of raw materials and a familiar but refined atmosphere.

The average score on the food drops considerably because, although the ham and house wine were 5 stars, we were served a plate of tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms that were really tasteless and had a watery consistency, I ate 4 better Salti in Panelli. However, the tagliolini with ham are excellent. The service was adequate even if a little cold and the wait between starter and main course was a little long. It's a shame because the environment is very nice.

Typical atmosphere of the area, with fogolar where they cook the meat on exposed embers. The cuts are really good, cooked very well. The selection of raw ham is also very good. Friendly and approachable owner. Prices normal for the quality offered.
