After a brief visit to Casertavecchia, we stopped for lunch at this restaurant. We had a traditional appetizer, pappardella with wild boar, and a portion of cavatelli with porcini mushrooms and sausage and sautéed vegetables. Everything was delicious and we spent a fair amount. I highly recommend it.

We returned yesterday, Monday, May 11, 2026, for lunch, ten years after our previous experience. The welcome was warm and the food excellent. We had grilled lamb and a beef steak. The portions were generous and the meat was very flavorful, cooked to perfection. The price was excellent. We can only confirm the excellent rating we gave years ago and recommend it to anyone visiting this gem of a town. See you next time.

We had a very nice lunch. This is a family run restaurant with no pretension, featuring local dishes. We ordered from the daily specials, generally a good choice anywhere in Italy. We enjoyed two pasta dishes, one pappardelle with a red sauce ragù and wild boar, and another with tomato, sausage, and mushroom sauce. We had three contorni, vegetable dishes simple prepared and flavorful. The bread and oil were both very flavorful, and the house wine was good and only three euros for a half liter. The service was friendly and efficient. Total price for three pastas, three contorni, wine, and water was Euro 57. We recommend this place.

An excellent location for Easter lunch, with a varied menu featuring quality dishes from appetizer to dessert. The appetizer includes cured meats and cheeses with tortano and minestra maritata (a soup made with spinach and spinach), excellent ravioli stuffed with speck and provola cheese with Piennolo cherry tomatoes, and a main course featuring lamb and Caserta black pig with potatoes, along with the spectacular Neapolitan pastiera. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the staff is friendly and helpful. We'll definitely be back.
