Very kind and helpful, quick. The menu of the day written on a loose piece of paper is not exactly the best. Typical atmosphere of the village, clean and welcoming. Good food, I didn't appreciate the cured meats and cheeses because they were the usual industrial ones and I was expecting something more rustic, artisanal and quality. In conclusion, the starter is good looking but the quality needs improvement, first and second courses are good.

To find some refreshment we decided to take a trip to old Caserta. Medieval atmosphere and historical places.
Attracted by the name we stopped to eat at the La Medioevale tavern.
We had two first courses, a mixture of grilled meat, half a liter of house red wine and a liter of water.
Overall we had a good time, good food: tasty first courses and fairly tender meat.
What we didn't like is the arrangement of the outdoor tables, the idea is good if cars and scooters weren't constantly passing by.
But shouldn't the village be closed to traffic?

First of all, a very nice and welcoming place, the five stars well deserved for the house starter and the pappardelle with wild boar ragout which I personally appreciated. The aubergine parmigiana is a little less so (but it's my personal taste because I prefer it with another preparation). Desserts a little negligible, house wine too. Recommended, I will absolutely return.

Casertavecchia is very beautiful, location and service ok but in such a context in a tavern I expected handmade cavatelli. Honest and recommended price for a quick lunch

Locale abbastanza piccolo, molto tranquillo, defilato rispetto agli altri ristoranti con vista su Caserta. Proprietario molto gentile e disponibile, servizio veloce. Qualità dei piatti davvero ottima. Noi ci siamo trovati molto bene. Prezzo onesto.
Se capita ci torneremo.
