An old-fashioned tavern, like they don't make anymore. A magical place in the lowlands that's hard to find anywhere else. The food is excellent at very reasonable prices. A special shout-out to the legendary Vanni and his chef. A superb place.

Your experience here will depend on the perspective you put on it: if you see an old tavern in need of renovation, not a time capsule that connects you to the stories of the Bassa, move on; it's not for you.
If you want to meet the unique and welcoming characters of the Bassa, an tavern where patrons can get to know each other, drawn by the landlady's tales and the drinkable wine, where the dishes are good, carefully prepared, traditional, and plentiful, stop here. The floodplain, its people, its atmosphere, and its flavors are ready to be savored.
More than reasonable prices.

Very spartan place, I would say "like it used to be", but with all the necessary services. I'll start by saying that they are all very nice and helpful, the paper menu doesn't exist, or at least I haven't seen it, everything is explained verbally and, they have lots of dishes available, it's not always easy to remember them all, for some it would be better to have a piece of paper to read, so as to decide with a little more calm, but personally I like it that way too. Excellent starters, spectacular first courses, if you want an encore of anything just ask and it all arrives in an instant, even the second courses have nothing to envy of the other courses, all 100% homemade and all really delicious. Then wine, desserts, bitters, it's a fantastic experience for the palate from start to finish. I was pleasantly surprised with the dinner, I will definitely be back.
The only negative note, I recommend for those who want to try it, is that you have to dress in something not too new since once you leave there everything has to be washed, you get a fairly strong fried smell, but personally I prefer to take an extra shower, but eat quality products and above all impeccably cooked.

Found by chance and let's face it: a discovery! Classic inn but two strong points: food and owner! Excellent food and generous portions... the waitresses helpful and very friendly but the owner is hilarious... fabulous British humor! You're not sure what you're ordering but anyway... a success!!! If you're in the area, stop by, it's worth it!

I was there the first time and I have to say it's a truly "old-fashioned" place, you really feel at home, a homely atmosphere, where you eat very well and where the restaurateurs are very nice and above all very courteous.
Highly recommended both for the food and also for the atmosphere that you breathe "home air"

You absolutely have to try it!... Both for the service (very friendly... I still laugh when I think back to the alternative names of the dishes)... and for the food (more than 25 types of tortelli to choose from, all listed by heart by the owner, and exceptional meat second courses!)

Abbiamo mangiato bene, tutto casereccio e buono. I primi (i tortelli) sono deliziosi, e le scelte di ragù/condimenti sono varie.
Lo gnocco fritto buonissimo e i salumi più che discreti.
Il posto è senza dubbio trasandato, ma più che altro il livello igienico è scarso.
Ti accoglie un odore di muffa/vecchio abbastanza pesante, e se ti guardi in giro ti viene da metterti le mani nei capelli.
Amo viaggiare in tutto il mondo , e sono abituato a situazioni igieniche non eccellenti, ma nel nostro paese posti così non ne ho mai visto.
Tutto casereccio, tutto locale, tutto "alla buona" (servizio compreso), e ci sta tutto, ma una pulita con più accuratezza e una sistemata minima al locale dovrebbe essere d'obbligo (visto che i prezzi sono senza dubbio giusti per la qualità delle pietanze, ma non da postaccio) .

Il posto non è il massimo, tipica osteria di campagna anche un po' datata, ma il cibo molto buono.
Il titolare che ti racconta il menù a voce ed elenca circa 15 tipi di tortelloni con ripieni e condimenti tutti diversi.
Antipasto con affettati buoni e polenta fritta.
Secondi ottimi se ti piace l'umido, guancia brasata e costine.
Conto più che onesto.
La moglie del titolare che è anche la cuoca quando ha finito il servizio è venuta a salutarci dicendo che aveva finito e si andava a casa..... simpaticissima
