Excellent first courses and desserts, the second courses we found on the menu were very common and not consistent with the local cuisine.

Unpretentious restaurant but with well prepared food. Very little choice on the menu but for an informal relaxing lunch or dinner it is perfect. The lady who waits at the tables is particularly effective and operational. I appreciated the very tasty broad beans and chicory and the meat with potatoes. The price is good: around 20 euros (water only). The atmosphere is beautiful with soft lighting (increasingly rare, due to the dazzling cold neon lights of almost all restaurants now...) and authentic, period furnishings. Worth a second visit.

Pranzi Express

11/10/2025: A 5-star quick meal. While looking for a quick bite, I found Pranzi Express, which was truly delicious, from the first course to the second course, etc. I had Emilian wheels, parmigiana, pork loin with arugula and parmesan, and potato gatoo' for the modest price of 18 euros, nice large portions. Really good. The price was reasonable for the quality and quantity, even a little low. When I return to San Giovanni Rotondo, it will be one of my stops. Lunch only available for takeout, in convenient containers, with forks and everything you need; just ask.
22/08/2025: We came here by chance. The food was excellent, and the price was great for a large family. If I'd known in advance, I could have saved money! Every restaurant here in Puglia is expensive, but they take advantage of this. Unfortunately, Foggia is a tourist destination, and everything is more expensive. However, Puglia is truly beautiful, both for its food and its natural beauty.

25/08/2025: Thanks to Francesco, your dad taught you so well! He made me a crepe filled with three ice cream flavors, whipped cream, and two mini cones for topping... Spectacular!!! I recommend you order it...ask for the Michele Candela crepe.
20/08/2025: The food is delicious and free of impurities. The place is perfect and always busy on Saturdays and Sundays. They also host birthday parties for all ages. They have ample parking, and being on a busy street, they serve ice cream even in the spring and delicious milkshakes. I highly recommend it.
