We spent our final night on Lake Como having dinner at Osteria and our experience was outstanding. The staff had a cancellation so kindly managed to fit us in last minute.
From the moment we arrived we were looked after by Pietro and the team. The wine and food menu were explained to us and recommendations made based on our usual taste, which were spot on.
The Burrata was delicious and I would highly recommend the Pistachio Pesto Pasta, one of the best pasta dishes I've had. The Lake Fish Lasagne was also lovely.

Delicious food in a really rustic Italian setting. I would go back again and again if we lived nearer!! The food was beautifully prepared, the ingredients were the highest quality and the service was perfect. 5 stars all day long!!!

It’s a small cozy restaurant with great atmosphere. The staff was very friendly and explained in great detail the plates and offered his recommendations. The place is also full of history which you can read about in their menu! All the food was very balanced , we had pasta with pistachio sauce, risoto and a valentine day special and everything was very good. The food is on the more expensive side, and the coperto is 3.50, but it includes a lot of nice extras, so I’d say it’s worth it! A great experience, definitely recommend if you’re looking for something special

Un lugar espectacular para comer justo en frente del lago de como. Además, con historia del año 550 que te cuentan en el restaurante donde te hacen un tour del pequeñísimo sitio. La decoración es muy tradicional y la selección de vinos no solo es buena sino que asesoran muy bien. Muy recomendable aunque es muy al norte del lago entonces siempre queda a 40 minutos en carro del centro de como. Pedimos una pasta con pistacchio y otro plato que no recuerdo. Muy buen vino. El

Serata magica all'Osteria il Governo 1801. Il cibo è eccezionale (sia nei sapori che nella presentazione), l'ambiente è accogliente e ricco di storia, e il personale gentilissimo.
Ringrazio Pietro e tutto il Team per averci fatto vivere una serata speciale. Torneremo presto.
