We had the most wonderful dinner at this family-run Italian restaurant — truly a hidden gem. The amazing service and the cozy atmosphere made the whole experience unforgettable.
The food was exceptional from start to finish. The pistachio pasta was rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced, the duck breast was tender and full of flavour and the slow-cooked beef simply melted in the mouth. For dessert, the apple cake with mousse was the perfect ending — light, fragrant, and beautifully presented.
We left feeling completely satisfied and already looking forward to returning. Highly recommended for anyone who loves authentic Italian food served with genuine hospitality!

It was one of the best ever Italian restaurant. It is very cousy reataurant with excellent quality of food and service. I would highly recommend the burrata, the pasta with pistachio (first time I had tried it) and the Tiramisu.

A sumptuous restaurant in an idyllic setting.
We stepped inside because the terrace was lovely, and we found the interior even warmer (especially the downstairs dining room).
The attention to detail given the ambiance is highly appreciated, right down to the choice of background music (French jazz).
The service was impeccable, the food excellent.
The value for money is good considering the beauty of the setting, the excellent meal, and the proximity to the lake.
We highly recommend this Italian inn.

A beautiful establishment, steeped in history.
Lovely waiters, a dynamic owner full of joie de vivre.
Delicious food. Especially the pistachio pasta and the tiramisu. My accommodation was just minutes away, and I went back twice in one week because I loved the place so much. I highly recommend it; the wine and food are of high quality, and the service is friendly.

Had a lovely and memorable dinner at Osteria Il Governo 1801. Excellent service: the server was attentive and explained all the menu items in great detail. All the food felt unique to the restaurant and tasted incredible: we had the burrata appetizer, rainbow trout, and shrimp ravioli. Burrata is eaten like a cold soup. The trout is a local fish and paired well with the potato/beet puree. The shrimp in the ravioli had a strong taste in a good way. Good wine and bread selection. We ate in the wine cellar: ambiance is romantic, but a bit too quiet to talk comfortably and temperature is on the colder side.

A superb experience! The terrace is truly very pleasant, perfect for enjoying the meal in a charming setting. We had pâtés: they were delicious and refined, with high-quality products. The service was exceptional: attentive, smiling, and always with good advice for dishes and wine. A place to recommend without hesitation!

Este lugar es espectacular! En primer lugar te sientes como si hubieras sido transportado en el tiempo a una era mágica. El propietario saluda a todos para explicar todos los platos. La pasta de pistacho es la mejor pasta que he comido y he estado en Italia muchas veces. Cada plato está hecho con amor y esta fue nuestra mejor comida en el lago Come de lejos. El carpaccio de trucha se nos metió en la boca. Asegúrese de reservar con antelación porque no puede entrar sin una reserva.

Nous nous sommes rendus dans ce restaurant hier soir, et c’est de loin le meilleur que nous ayons testé ! L’accueil a été exceptionnel : les serveurs et le patron sont d’une grande gentillesse et très attentionnés. Un serveur est même venu nous demander si nous étions musulmans pour pouvoir nous proposer directement des boissons sans alcool — une délicate attention que nous avons beaucoup appréciée.
Tout était parfait, du début à la fin : les plats étaient délicieux, le service rapide et l’ambiance chaleureuse. Une expérience exceptionnelle que nous ne sommes pas près d’oublier. Nous reviendrons sans hésiter !
