We had a great meal here. We started with a very extensive antipasti a la casa. Then a nice spaghetti with pommodori Friendly service, but still not five stars, because they were very rushed. They don't serve coffee. 😀

The taste is perfect, no matter what you order. I recommend it wholeheartedly.

Beautiful tavern, with attention to detail, a very welcoming and hospitable environment. It is preferable to book. While waiting for the reservation time to be made, they offered us a glass of wine outside. The choice of cuisine is very wide and the appetizers, of wide choice, are partly ready to serve (marinated fish, friarielli) others reheated (parmigiana, beans, sautéed mussels and lupins) and others fried at the moment. The first courses are good. The price is good. The service is efficient and the waiting times are right.

I had dinner two evenings in a row, excellent food, kindness distributed liberally by the owner and his son. I had to wait for a table to become free in the company of Spaniards and Americans and the aforementioned owner, to make us pass the wait, came out with glasses full of white wine and fried cod, a delight! Osteria Il Gobbetto is an absolute gem in the heart of Naples. From the moment you step inside, you feel like you’ve been welcomed into a local family’s dining room — warm, lively, and full of character. The staff are incredibly friendly and make you feel right at home, offering great recommendations and a genuine sense of hospitality.

We came across this tavern driven by the nice reviews. We weren't very hungry as we had recently munched something on the street, but we couldn't leave Naples without first enjoying some good pasta. Let me start by saying that our table was positioned near the entrance door, therefore in a somewhat confusing area. The owner and his son also had an exaggeratedly loud tone of voice when welcoming customers, which honestly disturbed the conversation a bit, but oh well, we know that Neapolitans are also famous for this. Nothing to say about the pasta, which was very good, even though they told us that they only made pasta with potatoes and provola for a minimum of 2 people, forcing us both (there were only 2 of us) to have the same pasta, when instead we would have liked to try two different pastas. When we were asked if we wanted to continue with a second course and we answered no, in a nano second we were presented with the bill and asked if we wanted to pay by card or cash, and we were told that by eating street food we missed the delicacies of their cuisine. I honestly didn't find it a very friendly thing to say. Overall, I felt a bit of pressure when ordering and then the rush to clear the table for the next customers. Honest price for goodness sake, 2 pastas and 1 bottle of water €24. But I don't know if I would want to go back.

Nei quartieri spagnoli, obbligatoria la prenotazione altrimenti si rischia di non trovare posto. Ambiente da trattoria, personale fantastico riesce a farti sentire bene, piatti buoni, servizio perfetto. Ogni richiesta viene considerata. Prezzi interessanti si mangia con 30 euro. Consigliatissimo.

Siamo riusciti a trovare un posto alle 21:30 In un periodo iper affollato di Napoli e di questa zona ora a grande vocazione turistica. Se cerchi un locale intimo, riservato e silenzioso cerca altro :-) Questa trattoria pulsa dí vitalità e ospitalità. Confusione che non penalizza l’attenzione al cliente e la velocità nella gestione delle portate. Menu della tradizione, piatti di terra e di mare. Abbiamo mangiato un’ottima orata, pesce fresco e ben cucinato. Prezzo nella media. Tutto buono, consigliato !
