Really satisfied, the food and service were excellent, and the desserts were incredible. The Tuscan cuisine was exquisitely prepared, and the service was fast, attentive, and very friendly. Well done, we'll be back.

If you want "old-fashioned" food, this is the place to go. I had fried tripe, which was accompanied by a salsa verde and another tomato and vinegar sauce, which was really good. Then fried brain, crispy on the outside and incredibly tender on the inside, which melted in your mouth... First, they brought me a chocolate praline filled with chicken livers: the contrast between the chocolate, which was cold from the fridge on the outside, and the softness and melt-in-your-mouth quality of the livers was truly interesting. The coffee at the end, with regular and brown sugar on the side (true!!!!), was in separate containers. I drink my coffee bitter. But I still ate a spoonful of brown sugar, which had that licorice flavor... Wow... There were several other interesting things on the menu, so I'll definitely be back.

Siamo già andati diverse volte ma mai all’aperto. Molto originale come tutto il resto anche la zona all’aperto. Il menù come al solito offre piatti particolari e di ottima qualità. Non smetteremo mai di consigliarlo

Eravamo in cerca di un posto per mangiare a pranzo, ma non volevamo violentarsi con i soliti posti squallidi tipo tavole fredde, bar, pizzerie, centri commerciali ecc. Goggle ci suggerisce questa posto, l'Osteria Il Cantiere a 15 minuti da dove eravamo. Troviamo un locale fuori dai flussi di traffico a San Giorgio a Colonica, una frazione periferica del comune di Prato, al confine con il comune di Campi Bisenzio, dove è difficile capitarci per caso. Mi colpisce subito l'immagine molto originale, dove la tradizione e i graffiti/disegni da fumetti alternativi, si fondono creando una distonia sorprendentemente piacevole. Capisco di non essere in un posto qualsiasi, e questo mi piace parecchio. Siamo accolti col sorriso dall'oste, non è poco di questi tempi. Menu fortunatamente non ricco, ma con piatti accattivanti, dove la cucina si identifica chiaramente come "tradizione rivisitata". E noi ci facciamo guidare. Trippa fritta per stimolare l'appetito, mai incontrata prima, spettacolare. Poi pici con lampredotto, polpo e topinambur, che ho trovato un azzardo meraviglioso. Come pausa pranzo veloce non è stata una pausa pranzo, ma una splendida e inaspettata breve esperienza. Non ho approfondito l'area vino, un calice a pranzo di un onesto sangiovese è stato più che sufficiente, ma sono certo che la cantina è all'altezza e coerente con quanto si percepisce. Consigliatissimo!!! PS mi organizzo e tornerò per cena, anche se ci sono 90 km tra dove abito e l'Osteria Il Cantiere.
