A very friendly inn. The appetizers were excellent, especially the pasta with wild boar. The main course was good, and the dessert, a hazelnut tart, was delicious. Excellent value for money.

We dined here on the first weekend of December. We were greeted with courtesy and warmth: generous portions, top-quality traditional Tuscan dishes, a quiet atmosphere, and a family-friendly atmosphere.
We hope to return soon.

If you happen to be passing through, treat yourself to a stop at Bibbio. You'll find a simple and welcoming atmosphere with fast, friendly, and attentive service. Simple, tasty dishes are made using excellent ingredients that evoke the flavors of yesteryear, and the chef's passion for cooking is evident! The chicken and artichoke rolls are unmissable.
And last but not least, the music is spot on...you can't go wrong here: congratulations!

I think I've had the best pici with Cinta Senese white ragù of my life! Chef Maria Pia is truly phenomenal. Not to mention sommelier Marcello, who never fails to recommend the perfect wine.
Not to mention a true stroke of genius: the cantuccini and vin santo mousse.

We went here for dinner, and what can I say? Delicious food and excellent service! We had gnocchi with gorgonzola and walnuts, eggplant parmigiana, sliced Chianina beef, and two desserts: strudel and hazelnut tart... Everything was truly delicious and made with passion.

I have been so excited to write this review. My friends and I spent two weeks in Italy across five cities this fall, and out of all the meals in all the cities, our dinner a Osteria il Bibbio was the very best meal we had by far. All of us were in agreement. Members of our party had the butter and sage ravioli, and the roasted pork. I had the gnocchi and the stuffed chicken breast. Both were the best I'd ever had and I'm nearly 60. Believe me when I tell you that I was raised on gnocchi, and Bibbio made the very best I've ever had. They were so light and perfectly cooked all before getting to one of the most remarkable cheese sauces I've ever expereienced (made with Peccorino). The chicken breast was the most perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned chicken I can remember eating, stuffed with light and delicious artichokes. For dessert I had a sensational tiramisu, and a member of my party had the best panna cotta any of us had ever eaten. I'll never set foot in Italy again without planning a trip to Bibbio. It's a little local place in the middle of Val D' Orcia and there's just no other reason to be there except to go to this place and I would crawl over broken glass to eat here again. We counted three staff in the entire restaurant; two beautiful Nonnas in the kitchen and a man older than any of us running the entire front of the house--greeting, waiting tables, making and serving drinks, spinning espressos, and running the register. It was flawless. I've had worse service from a team three times the size. And the prices were shockingly low for the meal we had. This place is an absolute 20 out of 10 and I cannot explain what you are depriving yourself of if you don't make a special trip to eat here. You could probably reach it in 90 minutes from Florence. 30 from Siena. Do what you can. You can thank me later.
