Very traditional Italian restaurant, food was good, quite plain and simple, restaurant lacked a bit of atmosphere, lady waitress seemed quite stern at first but was quite nice in the end.

Very good restaurant. The lady who sat me at a table did not speak English, but she had what I am guessing was her young son come and talk to me and take my order. Very nice atmosphere, very welcoming.

In Parma, it was hell. There were no restaurants to be found. We headed back to the hotel in a bad mood and discovered this osteria on Google. The outdoor seating is wonderful, and the food is delicious. Down-to-earth, family-run, and reasonably priced. A real alternative to the city center.

10/02/2026: Panificio Boni in the center of Sala Baganza is a large bakery with a wide selection of baked goods and pastries. They also stock homemade products like fresh pasta, etc. Spacious, with plenty of seating, and friendly staff. Prices are reasonable for savory items.
23/10/2025: One of the best places in Parma and its province for breakfast, an aperitif, or a lunch break! Alberto's pala romana is highly recommended. A must-try!

Pizzeria Ristorante Verdi Ricordi

09/02/2026: Overall, not a great experience. We went on a Friday night; the pizzas were very salty. I ordered a pizza with prosciutto, and they probably put it in the oven towards the end because it arrived cooked. Two people ordered a seafood pizza off the menu, "the service was kind and didn't bother us," but the mussels arrived with their shells still on and without a plate to put them on. Other than that, the seafood wasn't very good.
02/02/2026: Nice restaurant, a little cold in winter. Good food, very clean facilities, friendly waiters.
