Since I can't write two reviews, I'll write one, including both the pre-dinner aperitif and the actual dinner.
Rutto started with an aperitif: a truly delicious Orchid Gin and Spriz delle Angeli.
And we'd already appreciated the staff and the quality of the drinks and appetizers.
We decided to return for dinner, and while we were happy with the aperitif, the dinner was special.
Pumpkin and ragù cappellacci, tagliatelle with ragù, salami with mashed potatoes, and the chef's roast beef, finished with zuppa inglese and tenerina, which was simply spectacular.
Let's also add that the entire staff was kind, courteous, and attentive to everyone.
At a great price, not to mention bargain-basement considering the location.
We'll definitely be back.

I dined here, featuring traditional local dishes. The capon broth wasn't strained, and the stuffed pasta tasted more like sauce than broth. The pumpkin tortelli were good, but the pasta was too thick.

Excellent appetizer with delicious cured meats, cacio e pepe tortelloni, spectacular duck tagliatelle... very popular, best to book, otherwise if you find a table, you'll eat at a table almost in the middle of the square, but with a view of the castle!

Dinner at Osteria dei Quattro Angeli in Ferrara: an experience worth sharing.
The restaurant has three spaces: the main dining room, an outdoor terrace overlooking the square, and a more intimate room upstairs, where we dined. The intimate atmosphere of the latter made the evening particularly pleasant.
The menu offers a wide selection of traditional Ferrara dishes, enhanced with a few innovative touches. Special mention goes to the tender and flavorful fillet steak, and the delicious and authentic Ferrara pizzini.
Overall, a very pleasant dinner with excellent value. I recommend this restaurant especially to those who are new to Ferrara cuisine: an ideal gateway to tradition and attention to detail.

Typical and non-typical food, really good, you can tell the ingredients are top-quality. We focused on the first courses this time, pappardelle with hare ragù were delicious, the pasta was definitely homemade, and the first course with porcini mushrooms was also good, and the mushrooms were very fresh.
The atmosphere has been renovated. It's been a while since I've been here, but I found the menu very interesting. We'll definitely be back.

We choose the terrace to have a nice castle view and cool decoration, nice soft music to keep you relaxed.
I have a Tagliatelle al Ragú that was great, for €11. My husband enjoyed his meal as well. Big portions!
A liter of wine cost €12 that we think it was a great value.
I heard from locals that this is the best place to have local Ferraro style food.
The staff were so friendly and helpful with us trying to understand the menu with our poor Italian knowledge.
