Very particular location. A mix between tavern and pub which gives it a nice character. Maybe I paid a little above average, but the service and food are excellent.

Place found by chance on a Saturday evening... wonderful discovery, excellent food and very friendly and helpful staff... exquisite fillet with porcini mushrooms

We had dinner here on November 1st, when it was almost impossible to find a restaurant without a reservation. We were welcomed with extreme kindness and the service was excellent throughout the evening. The background music did the rest. Good food. I recommend everyone to spend an evening in this restaurant where all the girls who work there are smiling, calm and friendly. I don't think you need anything else to have a nice evening.

We stopped here our first night in Urbino for a quick bite and some wine. Typically places on the main piazzas of Italian towns can be overpriced and humdrum affairs where the main appeal is the location. There's some of that here. It was pricey but not rapacious. On the other hand, the proprietor is friendly if a bit quirky, and seeks to welcome. We had a nice large charcuterie board and a bottle of red wine. Certainly served its purpose.

If you are chasing a taste of Urbino worry excellent service then this is an excellent place to start. The service and assistance, for non Italian speaking visitors helps tremendously. We ate here 3 times during our stay and it was wonderful. You will not go wrong here.

Osteria della Massa Trabaria

21/08/2024: Il posto è sulla strada, nei pressi di una curva un po' inquietante, ma il traffico è pressoché inesistente. Abbiamo mangiato molto bene piatti della tradizione locale, molto ben preparati. Mi hanno colpito, in particolare, le tagliatelle, fatte in casa "come una volta" e ben condite con degli ottimi porcini.
