Typical tavern atmosphere, perhaps a little neglected. Good quality food, but you can't make carbonara with pancetta and serve it without pepper. Desserts could be improved. Price is above expectations. Value for money: 6.

A typical local restaurant: small, informal, and welcoming, with authentic ingredients and reasonable prices. We had excellent pasta alla gricia and a delicious pasta and chickpea soup, accompanied by a small bottle of local wine. Very satisfying.

Rustic atmosphere, reminiscent of an old-fashioned trattoria, the likes of which are unfortunately rare these days. A wide variety of Roman and Lazio cuisine is served, enhanced with exquisite ingredients like porcini mushrooms and truffles. Outdoor seating is available in the summer on Grottaferrata's main street. Affordable prices; reservations recommended.

16/11/2025: Spectacular lunch with friends in Zagarolo! Traditional Roman and Abruzzo cuisine, but also some well-chosen variations. The cheese, tripe, and coratella meatballs were exceptional. After a delicious glass of red wine, I continued with homemade mushroom pasta and a Romanesco broccoli with garlic, oil, and chili pepper sauce that was a delight. I also tried some of the tagliata my partner had, and I loved it. The homemade desserts were delicious. I tried the tiramisu and the Marsala zabaglione, which were truly delicious. The head waiter was very attentive and courteous. There's ample parking on the access road to Zagarolo, then an elevator and two flights of stairs lead to the upper dining room. Otherwise, you can park on the upper street and access it directly from there. We'll be happy to return; there were several items on the menu I'd have liked to try, including the queue. See you next time!
05/11/2025: The restaurant is very charming and welcoming, with a pleasant atmosphere and attention to detail. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with great courtesy and professionalism: the service was truly impeccable, attentive but never intrusive. We had the opportunity to try several dishes and were completely satisfied. First courses: the scampi risotto was creamy and flavorful, the tagliolini with oxtail sauce was a pleasant surprise—a perfect combination of sea and land—while the fettuccine with mushrooms had a forest aroma and the perfect consistency. Second courses: the oxtail was excellent, tender and full of flavor; the sea bass and swordfish were also very good, both carefully cooked and delicately flavored. The portions are generous, the quality of the ingredients is clearly evident, and the price is absolutely fair and proportionate to what you receive. In conclusion, a restaurant that combines good cuisine, impeccable service, and a relaxed atmosphere. A truly wonderful discovery, I recommend it to anyone looking for good food and a pleasant evening of flavor and friendliness. We'll definitely be back!
