Exceptional lunch with a mixed platter with cured meats (raw ham, loin, salami, spicy salami sausage), ariccia porchetta, cheeses, mozzarella and buffalo mozzarella, ricotta with honey and chopped walnuts, grilled vegetables in oil (aubergines and artichokes ), dried tomatoes and black olives. Very beautiful location inside: it's a real cave. Very friendly and approachable staff. Fair prices: although 19 euros per person for a cutting board may seem like a lot, the quantities are abundant and the quality is very good. I highly recommend.

Definitely quaint restaurant! The images speak louder than the description...an ancient cave cellar used as a restaurant. In winter maybe a little cool but in summer it will be a pleasure. Starters and porchetta are of quality. Honest prices. For two with appetizers, wine and chicory with two desserts and coffee 58 euros. I recommend it

Since it was the first Sunday of the month when many facilities in Rome are open free of charge, we visited Frascati, about 30 minutes by train, to escape the crowds. The restaurant was in a cave and had a great atmosphere. My husband, who usually does not take pictures, took several photos for our memory. Their specialty is porchetta, which can be ordered in small size. The white wine we ordered with it was very fresh and nice. The staff speak mainly Italian, but they are friendly and ordering went very smoothly. For non-italian speakers, preparing photos will make ordering easier.

I have been frequenting the place for 11 years: a splendid cave dug into the tuff which in past centuries served as a "refrigerator" for the wine contained in the barrels, and the barrels were positioned in the niches where they have now placed the tables and benches for 2/5 people. It is the classic Fraschetta which has no kitchen and serves only and exclusively cold cuts (porchetta, ham, salami, loin, pickles, cheeses, dairy products, etc..); they only have a few homemade portions of lasagna, meatballs with sauce and sautéed chicory which, if requested, are reheated and served... they have very few because they prepare them daily and they don't want to have anything left over from the day before for the next, so the they all end on the same evening. Excellent house wine and finally, donuts to dip in the Romanella... lastly, and perhaps the most important (excluding dairy products which contain lactose, portions of Lasagna and meatballs which contain gluten, and sautéed chicory which could be contaminated) the cold cuts and cheeses are all Gluten Free and Lactose Free: I am celiac and lactose intolerant, but after 11 years of going, I eat and drink there, I'm here writing for you.
Enjoy your meal
