Osteria Fraschetta Trinca is a superlative place in every way: located in ancient pre-Roman cellars (very well restored and sanitized, splendidly furnished); welcoming and characteristic environment; cold and hot homemade dishes; reasonable prices; friendliness and empathy of the managers who explain the history of the place; impeccable service.
We discovered it by chance, having been given a Smartbox of aperitifs with tastings, but the absolute goodness of the products (cured meats, sliced meats, products in oil, homemade bread, porchetta, local wine that doesn't go to your head, etc.) convinced us to dine there.
We will be back: in addition to eating and drinking divinely at very reasonable prices, you can park easily, and you eat inside vestiges of more than 2000 years: you can admire pre-Roman wall structures that would later give rise to the opus latericium described by the Roman architect Vitruvius.
An experience therefore not only excellent and homely gastronomic and oenological, but also a cultural, historical, environmental experience. We will certainly return.
We will recommend it to our daughters, friends, relatives, as everything is ok.

very suggestive fraschetta in a location that is certainly worth visiting in the summer to cool off a bit. Average cured meats and porchetta, amazing cheeses, lasagna and illegal desserts! The meatballs made with a simple and very good quality sauce are also delicious. at the checkout the owner gave us a bottle of their own wine.

I have been frequenting the place for 11 years: a splendid cave dug into the tuff which in past centuries served as a "refrigerator" for the wine contained in the barrels, and the barrels were positioned in the niches where they have now placed the tables and benches for 2/5 people. It is the classic Fraschetta which has no kitchen and serves only and exclusively cold cuts (porchetta, ham, salami, loin, pickles, cheeses, dairy products, etc..); they only have a few homemade portions of lasagna, meatballs with sauce and sautéed chicory which, if requested, are reheated and served... they have very few because they prepare them daily and they don't want to have anything left over from the day before for the next, so the they all end on the same evening. Excellent house wine and finally, donuts to dip in the Romanella... lastly, and perhaps the most important (excluding dairy products which contain lactose, portions of Lasagna and meatballs which contain gluten, and sautéed chicory which could be contaminated) the cold cuts and cheeses are all Gluten Free and Lactose Free: I am celiac and lactose intolerant, but after 11 years of going, I eat and drink there, I'm here writing for you.
Enjoy your meal
