Osteria Etrusca In Chiusi

Thursday, May 1, 2025, I went for the first time to lunch at the Osteria Etrusca in Chiusi. The Tuscan crostini with spleen meat were excellent and delicious. The sliced ​​beef with rocket and pecorino cheese was excellent and delicious. The dessert and sweet of the chocolate cake were excellent, excellent, delicious and perfect!! During a few days of vacation in the Chiusi area we came across this restaurant for dinner. Very friendly waiting staff, nice and welcoming place in the equally welcoming historic center of Chiusi. We immediately dive into the pici with garlic and tomato: a delight. Very tasty sauce, after cleaning the plate the temptation to go into the kitchen to clean the pot with bread was strong! 😁 At this point the tavern also became the reference for the two subsequent dinners to try other dishes on the menu: from cod to coccio passing through other pici and ending with pizzas. All delicious. We will return home tomorrow with a nice culinary memory of these days. Special mention also to the house wines, both white and red were perfect.

I was looking for a place to eat simple and local food, and I entered this osteria where I found much more! Bruschetta, pici all'aglione and a little local white wine, all very good! But what I found more was a careful and kind approach to the customer, which I rarely find even in more renowned and obviously more expensive places. A heartfelt thanks in particular to those who served us. Thank you!

Very friendly tavern run by smiling staff who take care of you. Traditional Tuscan cuisine that is worth a detour.

We discovered this delightful tavern during a short holiday in these wonderful places. We found an excellent welcome and delicious food. We ended up having dinner here every evening... You feel at home, in an informal atmosphere that puts you at ease. Attentive staff, fast and always friendly service, dishes that taste like home cooking, carefully prepared and full of exquisite flavors and smells. We tasted almost everything. I particularly liked the pici with crumbs, the duck, the tagliatelle with green pepper but the pizzas are also really delicious! Last but not least... grandma's cake... if you find us in Chiusi or thereabouts, don't, pass by, you won't regret it.

A wonderful experience, we hadn't booked, it was sold out, the owner apologized with a smile and very sportingly recommended nearby restaurants.
