Osteria Enrico VIII In Brescia

In a well-known spot, but tucked away on a narrow alley, it's perfect for a quiet and cozy atmosphere. The young man who served us was very friendly and attentive. The food was exquisite; we ordered a two-course set menu with casoncelli and spaghetti made with their signature sauce. Everything was delicious, and the price was truly reasonable for what you get.

Very nice atmosphere, especially the downstairs room. The waiter was very kind and knowledgeable. I have no words for the food... excellent, the rustic focaccia was excellent, everyone was great, highly recommended!

One of the best osterias in the center of Brescia. A welcoming and pleasant atmosphere. Excellent service and very helpful staff. The dishes are carefully prepared and typical of the local area. One of the must-try first courses is the caserecce with pistachio pesto, bacon, and Taleggio cheese fondue. The desserts are also delicious; the warm-hearted chocolate cake is a must-try. I'll definitely be back!

Five-star cuisine, but the basement disappoints The food was excellent, with masterfully prepared traditional dishes and a welcome on the ground floor filled with inviting aromas. A true pleasure for the palate. The downside, however, comes from the basement dining room: unlike the entrance, downstairs there's a strong musty odor, a lot of humidity, and a general lack of cleanliness. Furthermore, the complete lack of phone coverage is a problem for those who need to be reachable; it would be appropriate to mention this when booking. In short: I would definitely return for the quality of the cuisine, but I would absolutely avoid the lower floor until the health and maintenance issues are resolved.

A typical restaurant in the center of Brescia. It feels like stepping back in time. Excellent food and perfect service. Unforgettable casarecce and a superb chocolate cake.

Too cold, especially in the basement room where the air conditioning is clearly underpowered. Spending almost €100 on a dinner and having it at 19°C isn't a good idea. Nothing to complain about the quality or portions (at least not the ones we ordered, two risottos and an appetizer), but the temperature does detract from the two stars.
