Osteria due Mari In Taranto

We had a wonderful meal at Osteria Due Mari in Taranto! The orecchiette with turnip greens and mussels were exceptional—flavorful, well-balanced, and authentic. The sautéed mussels were also delicious, with the perfect seasoning. A traditional and welcoming restaurant with truly excellent cuisine—highly recommended! My husband said: "I finally found Taranto mussels!"

I happened upon this restaurant with a friend on the day of our return from a short vacation in Taranto. We booked via the app, and once we arrived, we found a familiar yet very clean and welcoming atmosphere. The staff was friendly and attentive, especially Niccolò, who helped us choose our dishes, demonstrating great professionalism and customer service. As for the food, we were impressed by the excellent quality of all the dishes, but I was particularly impressed by the grilled calamari! The produce was incredibly fresh (Niccolò himself confirmed it was the catch of the day), and it was perfectly cooked, leaving it tender and flavorful. The appetizer of hot and cold seafood was also remarkable, leaving us extremely satisfied. This restaurant offers a high level of quality at absolutely fair prices. It's a must-visit for all tourists who want to eat well and avoid being ripped off. I'll definitely be back when I'm in the area again. Full marks!

A very nice surprise thanks to the fork. Our best restaurant in Puglia for the past 6 days. Fish gratin, pasta, and antipasti were very, very tasty. Stop in with your eyes closed. Service from a very young lady who was very diligent 😊. I really recommend it without hesitation.

We were in this tavern for the first time and we were immediately welcomed with a big smile by the owner and the very kind waitress. We ordered a raw fish that really had the scent and freshness of the sea, then highly recommended the mixed grill consisting of tuna, swordfish, prawns and squid, excellent cooking of all the elements. We will be back very soon!

We had a great time, Nicolò and Fabiola are very kind and professional; Giovanni is an excellent chef. Tagliolini with scampi highly recommended! We will definitely be back!!

Great place, the food is very good. The waiter Nicolo is very pleasant, attentive, and very cheerful. Special mention for the squid. We came when there was a rather busy birthday party, but despite the crowds, the service was impeccable. I gave the food 4 stars because the pink salt was a bit too much. Otherwise, go there with your eyes closed, I recommend it.

L’Osteria Due Mari incarna perfettamente il concetto di buona cucina a prezzi accessibili. Maurizio, il titolare, e Giovanni, lo chef, sono sempre disponibili e attenti alle esigenze dei clienti. I piatti preparati dallo chef sono eccellenti, con pesce fresco e di prima qualità. I’ambiente è tranquillo ed accogliente, reso anche più piacevole dal servizio ai tavoli di Nicolò. Assolutamente consigliato, perfetto sia per una pausa pranzo veloce se siete nella zona, che per una cena o un pranzo rilassato durante il weekend.

Locale informale ma di sostanza, un menu’ giusto che propone piatti tipici della zona la maggior parte a base di pesce, una buona materia prima. Personale di sala capace e in grado di consigliarti al meglio. Unica pecca i piatti dovrebbero arrivare tutti insieme in modo da permettere ai commensali di mangiare nello stesso momento, questa cosa oggi è mancata tra un antipasto e gli altri 2 sono passato circa 5 minuti. Il locale non è enorme ma gli spazi consentono di stare comodi e avere la giusta privacy. Rapporto qualità prezzo molto buono.
