I would like to respond to your intervention following my review on Tripadvisor. I am Tuscan and specifically Fiorentina and I had never in my life eaten French-bred Florentine steak, vacuum-packed, moreover undeclared. What characterizes the true Florentine steak is the origin of the meat and it is known that it is inextricably linked to the Chianina breed or in any case it must be 100% produced in Tuscany (and not just processed and sectioned and, in your case, also vacuum-packed) to guarantee that the symbolic food of the region is fully rooted in the territory, to corroborate its intrinsic value linked to Tuscan breeding. And welcome Intramuscular fat with a low presence of triglycerides but containing an appreciable quantity of polyunsaturated fatty acids and less saturated fatty acids than other meat products deriving from the bovine species; it is also worth remembering that the fat of Chianina meat is lower in cholesterol than that of cosmopolitan breeds specialized in meat production.
Finally, if some of my reviews tend to have low ratings, the problem is with the sector in recent years, and not mine, because far be it from me to pursue a "fight" against restaurateurs.
I would like to specify, after your second answer, that I DO NOT exclusively love the Florentine Chianina steak... I knew that you treat the garronese, but not vacuum-packed. I was certainly unlucky because from the photos of the various reviews on the web it still appeared tasty, not so lean and with a nice Maillard reaction, characteristics NOT found in my dish. I have absolutely NOT given information that is incorrect and harmful to your image, I have simply expressed my thoughts and my experience with you.

My husband and I enjoy eating here so much. Everything is top quality from the food to the service. Their selection of wines, the bistecca fiorentina, the onion flan, the pasta, the desserts…everything we’ve eaten is excellent. Much attention and care has been put into every detail. Max and his staff are welcoming and do such a good job making you feel comfortable. If you are looking for a memorable food experience in Tuscany this is the place to go. It’s definitely worth the drive from Florence.

We had dinner in this tavern on March 8th for my birthday. We felt welcomed and pampered, we had a good time and ate really well, excellent food, exquisite meat cooked to perfection... crispy and delicious baked potatoes but also the desserts and the truly special 2023 Chianti wine. Perfect quality/price, on average €50 per person but for the quality of the food and the service they are adequate. The friendliness and helpfulness of those who served us also added a positive note to the wonderful evening.

Ottima accoglienza e ottima qualità/prezzo. Eccellente il servizio della metre Angela: preparatissimo su ogni piatto/vino e super disponibile per assolvere alle nostre esigenze (presente persona allergica al latte, si è subito premurato di chiedere alla cucina se alcuni piatti potessero contenere latte o derivati). Esperienza da consigliare! Meglio prenotare con anticipo anche se il locale è comunque grande.

When passion meets competence, taste, research into raw materials, friendliness and extreme kindness, only something beautiful can be born.
A tavern that finds its most genuine expression in its host, who accompanies you with every course and is happily surprised if not even a crumb is left on the plate.
And yes, the dishes return to the kitchen cleaner than when they left due to the quality of the dishes served, the care and technique used.
We were lucky enough to be able to taste an amazing mixed starter with truffles, a Florentine that looked like butter and an apple pie that we will remember for a long time, all seasoned with their splendid oil.
If you are a lover of rum and whiskey you will also find some absolute gems here.
Give yourself the time to pass by this tavern, stop, taste their delicacies and leave excited to see how much passion and love for this work will be passed on to you.

Loved the tiramisu and pasta. The service was particularly friendly, and we spent 3 hours easily here for dinner. Easy to make a reservation in English over the phone.

Volevamo passare la sera dell'ultimo dell'anno lontano dalla confusione e dalla forzata allegria che caratterizza questa data. Volevamo un ambiente caldo, accogliente, quasi una casa di amici con cui festeggiare. Abbiamo trovato tutto questo, oltre all'accoglienza e partecipazione sempre discreta e mai sopra le righe dei gestori del locale. Il cenone poi è stato perfetto, sia per la scelta dei piatti, con materiali di ottima qualità, sia per i vini che hanno accompagnato le pietanze con perfetto connubio. Perfetti anche i tempi, così che si è arrivati a mezzanotte in tempo per stappare le bollicine.
