I went to eat there on my first day in Bologna because of the reviews. As expected, there was a queue of about 15 minutes to get a table. I tried the tagliatelle with ragu, and what really stood out was the freshness of the pasta. The ragu itself wasn't any more exquisite than you'd find elsewhere. A plus (which is why it's always packed): the cheapest prices in the center of Bologna.

A typical Bolognese trattoria in the heart of the historic center. We ordered the Bolognese cutlets and desserts. We had high expectations, but it was a bit disappointing. We'll be back to try the first courses. The staff is extremely friendly. Reservations are not accepted.

Reservations are not accepted, but the wait at a peak lunch hour was only a few minutes. The atmosphere is very crowded, perhaps too crowded. Tables are close together, and it's as noisy as a cafeteria. But the quality food reigns supreme. Prices are reasonable.

They only serve lasagna on weekends! They don't make it Monday through Friday, which is a shame! The food is delicious!

They make delicious paninis on the spot, and the prices are very reasonable. If you are a tourist or live in Bologna, you absolutely have to jump in and have a great time. I highly recommend it.
