We found this place by chance and were pleasantly surprised!! The food is truly EXCELLENT! I had the gnocchi with Aosta blue cheese and my boyfriend had the agnolotti in walnut cream. What can I say... Both were mouth-watering 😋 Unfortunately, we're just passing through this beautiful region, but we highly recommend it!!

The welcome, service, and cuisine were excellent: we brought a large group of friends to try their legendary "Merenda Valdostana," which we'd loved over 20 years ago! And we were convinced it's a typical local experience that was definitely worth trying!

Professional and welcoming service, good cutting board and even the (brushed) plates of gnocchi with blue cheese fondue lacked a bit of punch, very delicate (I preferred a stronger flavour). The carbonada was very good but the portion was a little small.
The environment needs to be revised, it seems that the rather run-down place does not reflect the cuisine and the care taken in the dishes.

Osteria has always been synonymous with an informal environment, traditional cuisine at a good price....I found the first two characteristics, the third a little less so. In my opinion a little expensive
Gitarella domenicale per la visita alle mostre presso il Forte di Bard. Scegliamo questo locale ad Arnad attratti dalla semplicità dimostrata nelle immagini delle altre recensioni. In effetti il locale è molto semplice, tipico ristorante da pranzo della domenica, frequentato dai locali. Personale cordiale, dehor poco curato e un po' spoglio, toilette all'esterno anch'essa poco curata. Il cibo però merita, ottimo il tagliere gourmet ed il lardo con le castagne caramellate, così come gli gnocchi alle ortiche con blu d'Aosta e il gustoso cinghiale. Prezzi forse un filino alti data la tipologia di locale e la semplicità dei piatti, giustificati però da una materia prima che abbiamo trovato davvero buona.

Siamo arrivati qui per caso una domenica di marzo e ci siamo tornati prima di completare la nostra settimana in val d'Aosta perché non potevamo farne a meno.
Tutto ottimo ( cinghiale, gnocchi, agnolotti e polenta concia). Servizio gentilissimo, ambiente accogliente e i dolci buonissimi. 🙂👍🏻👍🏻
