A small restaurant in Oltrarno, more popular with locals than tourists, as is the menu. Excellent dishes (the fried cod with stewed leeks is splendid, made with top-notch ingredients and perfectly cooked; the paccheri with cacciucco and tagliatelle with white ragù are delicious), the service is friendly (with all the good and bad aspects that come with it), and the location is simple but charming. The only minor drawback is the temperature, which is a few degrees below the ideal. A positive experience.

When in Florence you MUST have a Florentine steak but there are so many places that sell it, your main decision is where. This location just made that decision much simpler.
From the moment we stepped inside, the staff and setting make you feel at home. You are walked through the menu and taken to choose your wine based on what you have ordered. The steak was extraordinary and so was everything that went along with it.
Go somewhere else if you just want a steak, come here if you want an experience. 6 stars.

We came here in May 2025 seeing if they had any reservations for dinner for that night or the next, but unfortunately they said they were full. They were able to get us in for wine, since they didn't have a reservation for 45 minutes or so. Great wines and the staff was friendly. Very small spot and we heard amazing things about the place, so sad we weren't able to try the food. A lady came in while we were having wine and asking about dinner the next night (which he had told us was full), and we overheard him giving her a table, so that was a bummer that he wouldn't let us have a reservation, but let someone else. I would definitely make reservations in advance, as it seems a lot of locals go, so they fill up quick!

A perfect culinary evening with friends, a beautifully renovated venue with taste and simplicity.
The food speaks volumes about the owners' passion, who guide you through their dishes. There's no wine list, because they take you directly to their wine corner, where an excellent selection allows you to see the price and label of each bottle. It's a truly wonderful idea, as it becomes part of the evening.
My compliments for your thoughtful wine selection.
We ordered an excellent Scarzello 2023 Langhe Nebbiolo, a velvety and delightful wine that's highly recommended. We then followed it with a Tenuta di Carleone 2022 Sangiovese Cianti Classico, an excellent full-bodied accompaniment to the meat.
The liver pâté crostini were fantastic; the bread slices were a surprise, with a different shape, but above all, the Vin Santo reduction made everything sublime. Fusillo and lampredotto and mushrooms had a delicate and curious flavor, and egg tagliolini with wood pigeon were both excellent. And to finish, I had pigeon accompanied by livers and spinach. The cooking was perfect, the pigeon delicate and unique in flavor, a true delicacy you must try.
To finish, the dessert was apple pie with French cream, delicious, accompanied by a Vino Santo that leaves you smiling.
My compliments for the whole dinner, with its quality, kindness, and truly interesting price.
Paid €55 per person.
Excellent for how and how much we ate.

We’ve been eating in Florence for many years, and while there are plenty of tourist restaurants, truly good places can be hard to find. After doing a lot of research, we came across Osteria dell’Enoteca. It’s a little further out from the city centre, but absolutely worth the walk. The food was exceptional. We tried three different pasta dishes, each of which was excellent, followed by the Fiorentina steak and desserts all outstanding. The wine cellar is a great touch, with a very good selection, and the waiters gave us excellent advice on choosing the right wine. The restaurant was small & busy with local people, which is always a good sign. Highly recommended.

I have mixed feelings about this. The concept of embracing the presidio slow food is very appreciated but when a platter of cheese (even if it’s among desserts) contains literally 3 thin triangles of pecorino, you know it’s a rip-off. Good fish dishes and wine selection. Very cold dining area (december), people started to put on coats at a certain point. Will not return.
