We went to this tavern on the occasion of the pilgrimage to the Holy Door...we ate typical Roman dishes from mixed starters, fried artichokes, courgette flowers and the first courses: spaghetti carbonara, macaroni alla gricia, spaghetti cacio e pepe,...all sublime...very friendly staff...

Nice place, with tables very close to each other (normal for the area). Roman food that presents itself very well, but it didn't convince me. The carbonara seemed to be mixed with cream, or perhaps there was too much cooking water, but the taste of the egg was not noticeable at all, so there was only a very strong flavor from the bacon. Perhaps something more is expected from a Roman trattoria. Service rather slow, however you can take a lunch break without problems, considering that you eat a plate of pasta.

Good Roman food but a little small portions. The tables with benches make it impossible to move if one needs to get up from the table.

Purtroppo l’ho trovato peggiorato. Carciofi fritti non male ma la provola alla piastra mancava di quella bella crosticina croccante che fa la differenza. I primi sono stati la delusione più grande: amatriciana insipida con bucatini scotti e nessunissimo “mordente” così come vorrebbe la vera tradizione romana. Carbonara asciutta e, anche qui, poco saporita. Per loro fortuna c’è ancora Lorenzo che con la sua gentilezza e simpatia non ci ha fatto rimpiangere la scelta di cenare qui, però non è assolutamente abbastanza. Mi permetto di suggerire un cambio di personale in cucina, al momento ci sono due ragazzi stranieri che sicuramente non hanno mai assaggiato la cucina romana. Però tenetevi stretto Lorenzo!

Ho cenato con mia figlia ieri sera prima di un evento musicale nei paraggi. Carciofi fritti, strozzapreti e coda alla vaccinara eccellenti come solo a Roma ho avuto il privilegio di gustare. Servizio informale ma molto attento e puntuale. Ci tornerò.

09/02/2025: We discovered this small family run restaurant. It was a pleasant surprise. The food and sangria were good, the desserts were excellent, both the creme brulee and the Santiago cake. We'll be back.

24/02/2025: Unusual and fascinating location... a round of applause to the Chef and all the staff
29/12/2024: Iter is a bar located in navigli near the canal in Milan. We visited on a Saturday night and I have to say it was one of the best experiences in Milan. The atmosphere is incredible: Japanese accents throughout the place and even the drinks have Japanese names which makes it creative and original. Service is great. Staff made sure to check on us and offer their recommendations. We didn’t make a reservation but we got a table pretty quickly. The place is not huge but has both tables and seats on the bar. They also have tables on the outside but it was a pretty cold night so we asked to be inside. The menu is very interesting: they offer cocktails and a wide sake selection. For the first round we had bebop and hanami drinks. Let me say, bebop is one of the best drinks I’ve ever had. They describe it as umami and it definitely is right, the flavor is subtle but very inviting. You enjoy every sip of it. I’m Mexican so I enjoy strong drinks and this one was definitely strong but the flavors made me enjoy it even more. Bebop was visually incredible. They use this great see through ice so drinking this was both a visual and culinary experience. For the second round we had two glasses of Prosecco and it was delicious as well. We really enjoyed our night here and prices are high but consistent with what they offer. Definitely this is a must visit bar when visiting Milan.
