While visiting a friend of ours in Olgiate Olona, ​​she made a reservation at this Osteria, and I must say we all left feeling happy and satisfied. We each ordered different dishes; I had the calamarata with local stracchino, zucchini, and saffron, and for my main course, the Angus medallion with mushrooms and roast potatoes.

It's been several years since my last visit, but the overall impression remains positive, with an average quality-price ratio. The dishes are well-prepared and well-proportioned, and the wine list is interesting. The restaurant is spread across two simple but very pleasant rooms. The service could be improved and isn't always punctual, perhaps due to the young age of the waiters. Would I return? Definitely. See you soon!

Great atmosphere, very good food

Modern restaurant with simple, well-executed dishes. Attentive service, perhaps a little too hasty in clearing our plates. They seated us in a more private area of ​​the restaurant. We were accompanied by our little dog, which we greatly appreciated. Bread served warm. Excellent value for money. The raw antipasto was good, the oysters weren't great, and the fish soup was tasty. Paccheri were tasty and well-executed! The main courses, sea bream with artichokes and potatoes, were very good, as was the tender meat, cooked rare as requested. We also really enjoyed the desserts: salted caramel panna cotta and an apple and ice cream tart that offered an interesting hot/cold contrast. All in all, a lovely dinner, recommended!

A pleasant discovery. We visited this restaurant for the first time last night for a family dinner. The place is very beautiful, tidy, and welcoming. Debora, the owner, greeted us upon our arrival with kindness and professionalism, showing us our table. She waited until everyone was present before bringing us the wine list and menus. Since there were 11 of us—9 adults and 2 children—we preferred not to have our own menu created but to choose freely from Chef Stefano's many options, each more delicious than the last. We relied on Debora's advice for the appetizer, creating a mix, and it was the right choice. In the meantime, she had already given instructions to the kitchen to get the girls fed as soon as possible, since it was already 9:00 PM, so they could continue the evening at a more leisurely pace. The appetizers were very good, including the hand-cut Fassona Piemontese tartare. The Parma ham with burrata from Andria and fried gnocco. Asparagus flan and pecorino fondue, truly delicious, all accompanied by a Morellino di Scansano, then moving on to purple potato gnocchi with sweet Novara gorgonzola, agretti, and Piedmont hazelnuts, or artisanal seafood mezzi paccheri, elephant ear (I believe not fried but baked) with roasted potatoes, or fried calamari, shrimp, and tempura vegetables, finishing with desserts, and again everyone made their choice from the menu 😋… tiramisu, deconstructed Sicilian cannoli, soft-centered tart with ice cream, or apple pie with ice cream and lemon sorbet, and the inevitable coffee. This was our dinner, and it was truly a wonderful evening in a pleasant and, above all, quiet atmosphere, where we were able to converse despite it being sold out… which is no small feat, given the trend in many places where if you can hear the person sitting across from you, you're already lucky! 😱 Thanks to all the staff at the osteria, who are always attentive and professional. I definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for lunch or dinner with truly excellent cuisine, where you're sure to find something to please your palate. The price for this dinner was reasonable for the dishes offered, so what can I say? Well done, you've given a touch of modernity to a historic venue while maintaining the quality of the service. We'll definitely be back! Allow me to give you some advice that's at least valid during the winter: our table, which was near the entrance, was very affected by the cold air at leg height every time people entered or exited the restaurant... perhaps a small divider would be enough to solve the problem🤷🏼‍♂️.

Dinner with my wife, fish menu. We started with five hot and cold appetizers, all carefully crafted and superb. The first course was paccheri allo scoglio (seafood paccheri), and the second course was shrimp, calamari, and carrot tempura. To finish, a single-serving tiramisu. Prompt service and careful attention to detail in showcasing the fish without overdoing the seasoning. Exceptional value for money.

We went on December 25th for Christmas lunch. The staff were very friendly and service was prompt, considering the number of guests that day. The food was truly well-prepared and delicious. The only issue for us was the location where we were seated, near a rock face (?). It was really cold, and the heating, which was present in the two main rooms, wasn't working. A real shame. The price was reasonable for the quality and service.
