Perfection! Truly the best meal we had in our travels through Italy.

Traveling between Brescia and Bergamo (fair) we stopped for lunch, already planned and with a reservation in this charming trattoria after reading excellent reviews. I must say that they all fit; the place is beautiful, it feels like entering a time machine... with the walls covered with memories and dedications left by various artists and the dishes; forget the revisited ones, fused with other things, no tradition to the bitter end, typical dishes of the area that are really good from the appetizer to the desserts. The staff is exquisite, just to stay on topic and the prices are average. I think that the quality/price ratio is advantageous for the diner and the prices you see on the various photos are current. If in doubt about choosing between a glass of white or red, I recommend a nice glass of "bubbles"

Categoria: Ristorante Italiano Trovato per: Guida Slow Food Situato in un anonimo incrocio di un altrettanto anonimo paese tra Bergamo e Brescia, il locale spicca invece, sia dall’insegna all’esterno sia all’interno - i tavoli di legno, il massiccio bancone - per il suo fascino molto retrò. A conduzione familiare, il servizio è informale e gentile. Quando ci ero stato la prima volta, ma potrei ricordare male, aveva anche la chiocciola della guida Slow Food. I piatti proposti non sono molti, ma sono garanzia di tradizione e qualità delle materie prime. Eccezionali gli gnocchi di patate burro e salvia, non da meno l’orzotto con pomodori, fagliolini e basilico e grana; molto buoni anche il manzo all’olio con polenta bianca e il vitello tonnato. Un po’ insignificante la lasagna. La carta dei vini è relativamente ampia con proposte principalmente regionali (ad esempio dalla vicina Franciacorta) e nazionali, anche se non ha particolari spunti, la ricordavo più interessante in una mia precedente visita di qualche anno fa. Conto consono a quanto offerto, in conclusione una sempre piacevole sosta se ci si trova a passare in quella zona.

Entering the tavern feels like going back to the early 1900s: an intact environment, that smells of other times. Beautiful! The atmosphere is unique. The dishes are exceptional: simple dishes, mainly meat-based, strictly from the local tradition. There is also a "traditional dish", which consists of four truly excellent meat-based tastings, which I highly recommend. The side dishes are excellent (but expensive). We drank wine by the glass which, surprisingly, unfortunately was not local (but it was still very good, even if a little expensive). The prices are fair compared to the quality of the food; however, we found the side dishes, water and wine by the glass a little expensive (had we known, the bottle would have been advisable). Highly recommended: we will be back!

I don't know! It was love at first sight! Arrived by chance. I loved the place, like an old tavern but classy even if informal... you immediately feel at home.. What to say about Mr. Maurizio and his wife... menu told verbally that conveys a lot of passion... even the girl who looked after us was impeccable! The dishes? They are all worth the trip.. The prices? Honest considering the quality We need more places like this! Really, really good

Ogni volta che torno alla Villetta mi sento a posto: l’ambiente, la cucina e l’accoglienza sono quello che mi piace. Lingua e trippa non mentono mai. Patron Maurizio e, soprattutto, sua moglie, ti fanno sentire a casa. Grazie.
