Osteria della Rocca In Gaggio montano

We were made aware of this osteria through a flyer after visiting Rocchetta Mattei. We don't usually respond to such things, but it was definitely worth it here! The staff is friendly and the food is fantastic! Especially if you like truffles, but they also offer 'regular' dishes of very good quality.

Parking a bit inconvenient. Small, well-arranged space. The table for two is a bit small. Good choice on the menu. Excellent starter with a bit of everything. The pork fillet with truffles and parmesan cream is excellent, the pork is a bit stringy. The side dishes are excellent, the friggione, but the grilled vegetables are a bit too much at 8 euros. The house wine is good. Good service. The price (apart from the vegetables) is fair.

Recommended by the owner of the B&B Camelia, we ate wonderfully, both the appetizer recommended by Marco, who served us with warmth and professionalism, the delicious first courses (we ordered a trio), and the artisanal ice cream with black cherries and blueberries. The bill was in line with expectations, and the quality of the ingredients was excellent. We highly recommend it.

Thanks also to Marco, whose hospitality is impeccable! The cuisine is simply excellent: well-balanced flavors, dishes prepared with attention to detail, and raw ingredients showcased without excess. The generous portions are a delightful surprise, and the wine selection perfectly complements each course. This osteria deserves to be known, supported, and talked about: quality, warmth, and professionalism coexist naturally.

Excellent restaurant, all the dishes are delicious, including the desserts and side dishes (freshly sourced from their own garden). Friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommended.

It is a small restaurant with DELICIOUS FOOD! Price is perfect, we were 11 people and ended up paying 210€ for some starters and drinks. If i end up in this area again i will visit and eat again!

On a short tour of the Tuscan-Emilian hills, we planned a visit to Rocchetta Mattei; lunch, which preceded the afternoon tour, was served at this pleasant Osteria. The service was prompt and friendly, and the food was a delight for all five of us (there were five of us). Highly recommended.
