Excellent dishes prepared with local ingredients (both the white and black truffles are delicious). The lady, I presume the owner, has a very lively personality and knows how to put guests at ease, making them feel like old acquaintances, even if it's their first time.

The food was designed to surprise you.

In Rocca Pitigliana, Osteria della Rocca struck us as one of the finest restaurants in the Alto Reno area. The modern and warm restaurant is welcoming and elegantly furnished. The service is impeccable, and the hostess is a paragon of professionalism and hospitality. Reading the reviews, I had high expectations for this place, and they were not disappointed. We ordered two rabbits, side dishes, pignoletto (a small portion of pork sausage), and dessert. The house pignoletto was priced exactly the same as at all the other trattorias in the Alto Reno area, but it was better than many mid-range bottles of Colli Bolognesi. The bread was excellent. I'm highlighting these details because these elements are often overlooked in "popular" restaurants. The rabbit was very good, the ice cream sublime. It's worth coming from Bologna to eat here.

We went here for lunch with friends who already had excellent reviews, and I have to say the 5 stars are absolutely deserved. I should start by saying that there were 16 of us, and everything arrived without too much of a wait. The mixed antipasto was fabulous, and for the first and second courses, we had seasonal dishes with mushrooms and truffles. The side dishes, including cooked vegetables, baked potatoes, grilled mushrooms, and friggione (fried fish), were also excellent. The atmosphere was welcoming. Prices were reasonable for the portions and the quality of the food.

Excellent osteria, perfect location. We had lunch outside, a beautiful wood and glass structure.
The crescentine and cured meats were delicious; the tagliatelle with ragù were the highlight for me.
The desserts were also good.
The staff were friendly and the prices were fair.

Dinner for four friends. Everything was absolutely delicious, from the starters to the main courses, the side dishes, dessert, coffee, liqueurs, and the house wine, which was also excellent. But a special mention goes to the tortelloni with black truffle: literally one of the best dishes we've ever eaten. Another special mention goes to the courtesy and friendliness of the staff, whom we thank from the bottom of our hearts for the wonderful dinner.

On Saturday we were visiting Rocchetta Mattei and happened to eat at this restaurant.
We were three adults and had a wonderful meal...both the first and second courses were spectacular and the portions were generous.
The price was in line with the quality!
The atmosphere was clean and welcoming, and the staff was very friendly.
I recommend it.

The atmosphere is bright, clean (including the restrooms), and well-heated. A wide selection of food and wines are available. The tortelloni with black truffles are excellent, and I found the authentic flavor of this traditional dish in the roast rabbit. The zuppa inglese is delicious, with just the right alcohol content. The use of fresh, high-quality ingredients is evident. Fast service and friendly staff. A dining experience worth repeating.
