Great experience. Traditional Lombard food well cooked in adequate portions. Small but tidy and clean environment with attentive and kind service. As a first course I recommend the risottos in the various versions offered. Really interesting price 30 euros per person for appetizer, first or second course, dessert, water, bottle of wine, coffee, digestive.

Saturday afternoon in Pavia. A stroll around the center and a walk at sunset from the covered bridge in Borgo Ticino. Here is the Osteria della Malora, a nice and authentic place, with good food and welcoming service. Prices more than fair. Absolutely recommended for those who love a certain type of tradition, that of things done well.

Average dishes. Cured meats are not exceptional, quite salty, while the tagliatelle with meat sauce are very good. Lamb average, a little overcooked. The real surprise was the service... It seemed like they didn't want us (we were with 2 fairly calm children). It may have been our impression but perhaps the welcome, even if it is a tavern, even if you are not a regular customer, needs to be improved.

Restaurant located in the Borgo Ticino area, crossing the Covered Bridge. Abundant traditional dishes at the right price... special mention for the risottos, really good! Two appetizers, two first courses, a dessert, two waters, two coffees and an excellent Pinot grigio Pavese for just under €80 Left full and satisfied! Well done!

Scoperto per caso in occasione della visita a Pavia. Nel quartiere Borgo Ticino, a 2 passi dal ponte coperto situato in una piccola viuzza nascosta. Ambiente davvero piacevole, come una vecchia osteria deve essere. Personale cordiale e preparato. Il menù presenta diverse portate tipiche della zona. Ogni piatto ordinato è stata una vera sorpresa, tutto gustoso e presentato con cura. Menzione particolare al prosciutto d'oca. Le porzioni sono abbondanti e tutti i secondi hanno il contorno, quindi consiglio di condividere e assaggiare più cose. Anche il prezzo è competitivo... Forse una delle osterie più apprezzate degli ultimi tempi. Non da trascurare il parcheggio privato che vi permette dopo pranzo di lasciare l'auto e scoprire Pavia a piedi...

Borgo Ticino un quartiere con tanti ristoranti prenotare per tempo anche in settimana, piatti buoni specialmente il risotto con pasta di salame, servizio un pò freddino, parcheggio privato utile vista la posizione.

14/05/2025: Intimate and welcoming atmosphere. Food with quality ingredients, top cured meats! And obviously a selection of excellent natural wines. The two owners are keen to explain the dishes and wines to you with real passion. I absolutely recommend them.

Trattoria Guallina

27/05/2025: My dinner at the Guallina restaurant was a real discovery, a journey through elegant and well-balanced flavors. From the moment I entered, the warm and refined atmosphere of the restaurant made me feel welcomed, while the staff - kind and competent - made the experience even more pleasant. As an appetizer I chose the goose liver paté with croutons: an intense and refined dish, perfectly balanced in flavors. The creaminess of the paté married perfectly with the crunchiness of the croutons, giving a truly tasty start to the meal. Next, the rice with bay leaves and Breme onion: a surprising and delicate combination. The scent of the bay leaves and the sweetness of the onion created a unique harmony, enhancing the rice without overpowering its simplicity. A dish that shows great attention to raw materials and technique. In short, Guallina is a restaurant that combines tradition and creativity with great elegance. Recommended for those looking for sincere, well-executed and exciting cuisine. I will definitely be back!
03/05/2025: Excellent trattoria, simple and classic style but clean and sober. We ate everything based on goose. Starter of goose cured meats and really excellent pate, especially the latter (usually it seems cloying to me), followed by ravioli with goose meat in butter (I also tried the cannelloni with asparagus, this dish is also really tasty and worth a try!) and for the second course...baked goose for the whole table with baked potatoes! the meat was really tasty and tender, spectacular. The entire meal was accompanied by a good Buttafuoco red wine, the list of wines available is really long and varied, the bitters and grappas available at the end of the meal are also extensive. It's really worth it!
