We went to Osteria della Faina on a quiet weekday evening, with little notice, and the experience was truly pleasant. The osteria is immersed in nature, in a suggestive position: the road to get there is a bit rough, but once you reach your destination you are rewarded with peace and beauty.
We tasted the house appetizer, followed by an extra plate of grilled octopus, very tender and cooked to perfection. We then tasted a second course of octopus on a cream of potatoes and celeriac, delicate and well-balanced. The famous tagliatelle with wild boar ragù confirmed their fame: rich in flavor, with a perfect consistency that collected the sauce well, making every bite even tastier. To conclude, the house desserts, with a very light panna cotta, sweet but fresh.
The owner proved to be very welcoming and helpful, helping to create a warm and cozy atmosphere. The environment is simple but well-kept, and immediately puts you at ease. The final bill of €57 is adequate for the quality of the dinner. We will gladly return.

Wow! This is one of the best meals I have had in Italy and my entire life. We don't speak Italian, but the owner was very accommodating and gave us a wonderful experience. The pasta was delicious and the local antipasto platter was fantastic! Lots of parking available. 10/10 thank you!

Arrived half an hour late (due to heavy rain and the navigator who inside Ameno threw a tantrum several times due to the alternating lanes; I recommend looking at the map and driving by sight and continuing with the navigator once you start climbing up Via Piave) yet welcomed with such hospitality and kindness despite being half an hour from closing, a bit like what you expect in a tavern in the middle of the woods on a rainy weekly evening.
Spending Reasonably, we shared an appetizer with very good cheeses and cured meats, a nice plate of grilled vegetables with tomino cheese, a pannacotta with a kiwi jam, then two generous portions of tagliatelle with wild boar ragout, half a glass of house wine, water and two coffees. Returned home full and happy.
We're not from the area but if I were to return I would happily come back to try other dishes! Thanks Peter!

Everything was excellent, impeccable service, friendly and welcoming staff not to mention the food; excellent starter, but what struck us most was undoubtedly the tomino (scary) without taking anything away from the pappardelle and tagliatelle (amazing).
We really enjoyed our stay, super recommended place.
Honorable mention to the panna cotta with mandarin jam (never tried anything like it)

We had dinner in this place to eat something homemade and genuine and I can say that we chose the right place. From the house starter to the dessert everything was excellent. To finish we were offered a homemade limoncello which was really good. I absolutely recommend going to eat here if you are in the area
