I have been frequenting this restaurant since 2014, first with friends and later with family and colleagues. It is ideal for those looking for a relaxing family atmosphere, with the right attention from the owners. After having been to all the restaurants in the centre, only this one and one other fully meet my expectations.
Regarding food, the Ferrarese cuisine offered is the real one, without any ifs or buts.
However, non-local dishes are also present on the menu, especially the meat, which is processed with respect.

Buona cucina con piatto della tradizione: cappellacci, salama da sugo e torta tenerina.
Conto adeguato alla posizione. Io ho trovato attenzione al cliente, sia nella cameriera sia nel proprietario, che ha anche una certa ironia, che non guasta.
We had personally reserved a table at lunchtime and ended up in a small back room with daubed walls and green lighting in the evening. Made the food look somehow unpleasant.
The room had a homemade sign "no water room".
Pasta was tasty but no better than anywhere else.
We have never eaten the traditional dish Salama da sugo con purea di patate so badly.
The salami was great and unfortunately shared the plate with mashed potatoes from the bag.
Really a shame. We wouldn't eat here again.
All other restaurants we visited in the same price range were better.

Un locale cge sembra un antica bottega medioevale. Il personale è gentile e presente. Ottimi i tortellacci al ragú e la salama da sugo, non unta e molto gustosa. Lo consiglio.

Excellent lunch. Delicious Cappellacci with ragù stuffed with pumpkin. Excellent tagliatelle with truffle, bacon and cheese fondue. Mouth-watering tiramisu and coffee-drowned ice cream, a treat for the palate. Well done, thanks.
