Osteria dell’Anima – A Hidden Gem Near Piazza Navona Tucked away in the charming backstreets surrounding Piazza Navona, Osteria dell’Anima is truly a hidden treasure. We stumbled upon this delightful spot during one of our many walks through Rome, and it quickly became a favorite. The food is wonderful — the orecchiette with broccoli is my personal favorite — and every dish is full of authentic Italian flavor. The staff are warm and welcoming, creating a genuinely charming atmosphere that feels both local and inviting. Lunchtime is especially memorable thanks to their fabulous host, she seems to have every detail perfectly under control. Whenever we’re in Rome, we make it a point to visit at least once. Osteria dell’Anima is an absolute must-try!

Judging a restaurant is subjective, I've seen some reviews of this restaurant that are so so but, it depends on your night. For me it was a fabulous experience. The restaurant was recommended by a friend and as I was only in Rome 2 nights I chose to try it. Rather than eat pasta that I can have at home I chose something a little different. For entre it was a tomato filled with goat cheese, then for main it was the grilled seabass with a side of artichokes. Both meals were exceptional and I highly recommended them. My wife had the prosciuto and melon for entre and saltinbocca with grilled vegetables on the side. Unfamiliar with the local wines, our waiter recommended a lovely white wine from sardegnia, excellent choice for our meal. We were so happy with the food and service we returned the following night and each had the grilled seabass. I would easily eat there again next time I return to Rome. The staff was professional but warm and friendly. The restaurant manager Francesca was equally so.

Amazing food and perfect atmosphere! We thought our trip to Rome was a bust until this was suggested by our travel agent. Fantastic pasta and dessert! I highly recommend.

Every dish here tells a story of love for authentic Roman cuisine — made from fresh, high-quality ingredients and infused with soul. The chef cooks with passion and respect for tradition, and the service is warm and genuinely caring. And when their cacio e pepe arrives, time seems to stand still — a dish so simple, yet absolutely perfect. It was love at first bite. ❤️🇮🇹

Bom local. Tomamos uma cerveja gelada para aguardar o passeio no Stadium, Fomos bem atendidos, porém não almoçamos. Apreciamos o local que tem duas igrejas nas proximidades, além da praça Navona.
