The food is exceptional: authentic, delicious, and home-style Italian. The staff is wonderful—attentive and friendly, creating an atmosphere you'll want to return to.
I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to try authentic Italian cuisine. Absolutely fantastic!

This restaurant was right behind our apartment and we loved visiting here. Staff was so friendly, good wine and good food! Will definitely be back next time we are in Rome!

The truth is, if it were for the food and service, I'd give it a higher rating, but it's the only place in Rome where they charged us for service and cutlery, and between one thing and another, €24, which they've taken out of nowhere... And even more so when they give you a package with two little bits per person.
The food is good and well prepared, although at least the lemon chicken with capers was short on meat and sides. I asked for fries and they charged me €9 for a small plate of potatoes.
The pizzas were large and good.
The place is nice and quiet, and the service is good and the restrooms are very clean.

Great location (quiet street, but right next to Piazza Navona); great food (I loved the orriechetta with gorgonzola); the hostess made sure we were comfortable and helped with menu decisions. I would definitely return.

Osteria dell’Anima – A Hidden Gem Near Piazza Navona
Tucked away in the charming backstreets surrounding Piazza Navona, Osteria dell’Anima is truly a hidden treasure. We stumbled upon this delightful spot during one of our many walks through Rome, and it quickly became a favorite.
The food is wonderful — the orecchiette with broccoli is my personal favorite — and every dish is full of authentic Italian flavor. The staff are warm and welcoming, creating a genuinely charming atmosphere that feels both local and inviting. Lunchtime is especially memorable thanks to their fabulous host, she seems to have every detail perfectly under control.
Whenever we’re in Rome, we make it a point to visit at least once. Osteria dell’Anima is an absolute must-try!

Non è male, ma ce ne sono di migliori.
Tuvimos la cena más fantástica en este restaurante mientras estaba en Roma. El restaurante está muy bien situado justo al lado de la plaza principal.
La pasta era fresca y el tiramisú casero era fantástico. Nuestro camarero Giovanni era súper. Amable, bien informado y muy profesional.
