Osteria del Vicario In Certaldo

I really enjoyed our visit, it is a fully vegan establishment and, although I'm not vegan myself, I was happy to 'give it a go', the food was really interesting and the service very pleasant. This would be to perfect quiet retreat for a young vegan couple. I definitely recommend it, I felt comfortable and relaxed here, it is very laid back and welcoming. That goes for Certaldo Alto and the Tuscany region of Italy in general to, though ☺️

The location is fantastic, with a spectacular view, the food is delicious and every little detail is taken care of, as is everything else. The waiter was extremely knowledgeable about everything. It was a wonderful experience discovering new flavors.

One of the best locations in Tuscany and certainly the best vegan restaurant in Tuscany. We'll definitely be back. It's an experience not to be missed, with excellent service and attention to every detail.

A charming location in the heart of Certaldo's historic center, the tasting is excellent and the staff very friendly. The dishes are delicious, refined, and very satisfying. The wine list is excellent, and the non-alcoholic fermented vegetable drinks are also noteworthy. Great attention to every customer's needs. An experience definitely worth repeating.

Certaldo, a romantic village, wasn't surprised that so many couples, mostly Anglo-Saxon, got married in two days! The Osteria del Vicario is located at the highest point in the village and enjoys a panoramic view and tranquility. The rooms are a bit small for long stays, but they are former monastic cells. Breakfast was excellent, and dinner is said to be as well, but we didn't eat there. We'll be back!

Very restrictive time policy, imposed in a somewhat intimidating tone. Excellent food, spectacular location, high cover charge of €6 per person. My thirteen-year-old son would have liked to meet Chef Eleonora to compliment her directly, but despite numerous sincere compliments and despite the service having now finished (9 PM sharp, as requested 😂), the restaurant manager didn't offer the opportunity. In any case, a quality restaurant.

A truly unforgettable experience. We traveled from Rome to dine at this restaurant, and it captivated us from start to finish. The tasting dinner was a constant surprise: every course, meticulously crafted down to the smallest detail, is the fruit of careful planning and creativity. Every aspect of the experience is thoughtfully planned: from the dishes to the wines, to the cocktails and herbal teas that conclude the evening. The service is impeccable, attentive but never intrusive, with special mention for the kindness shown to our dog, who was welcomed with the same care as us. We will definitely be back.

Il posto dove abbiamo mangiato era un piccolo giardino interno accogliente, intimo e curato. La vista sulle colline toscane ha accompagnato per intero la nostra esperienza, regalandoci un prezioso momento lontano dalla frenesia e dalle preoccupazioni quotidiane. Da novizi nella cucina vegana, lo chef Eleonora ci ha accolto e mostrato la sua passione per questo mondo attraverso diverse portate colorate che esclamavano primavera e freschezza. Gli accostamenti ricercati valorizzavano tutti gli alimenti utilizzati nelle preparazioni. Il servizio di Erik, grazie ad un giusto mix di formalità e informalità, ci ha fatti sentire a casa. Cordiale e disponibile sia per chiarimenti sulle portate che per indicazioni stradali. Ottimo anche il rapporto qualità/prezzo.

Alternativa vegana veramente valida, da premiare l’impegno di Erik e Eleonora che mettono passione in quello che fanno e la trasmettono ai clienti. Posto stupendo dove regna la tranquillità e la bellissima vista sulle colline toscane.
