A family-friendly and welcoming place! The staff, from top to bottom, were all friendly, helpful, and open to conversation! I won't write anything about the food because it was all delicious!

A beautiful and delightful lunch in a location somewhere between medieval and Victorian. The staff were knowledgeable and discreet, and everything was delicious, from the starters to the simple side dishes. Highly recommended!

As someone who’s not a Michelin Guide expert, I can say with certainty that Osteria del Viandante deserves far more than just a single star—it’s a place that’s clearly shooting straight for a second. This was the highlight of our entire trip, and honestly, it’s hard to imagine anything else living up to this experience. From the moment we stepped through the door, we were greeted with a level of service that instantly set the tone for what was to come. The staff were warm, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable, guiding us through each course and ensuring that our every need was met. Their genuine passion for the food was evident, and it made the entire meal feel like a special event. Now, let's talk about the food. The multi-course tasting menu was nothing short of extraordinary. Each dish was an artwork, bursting with flavors that were as bold as they were delicate, every bite perfectly balanced. It’s clear that attention to detail and creativity are at the heart of this restaurant, with the chef pushing boundaries while respecting tradition. And let’s not forget the wine pairing—it was exceptional, enhancing each course and offering us the chance to explore regional varieties that were absolutely perfect with the dishes. Though we had to take the train from Bologna and later a cab back to the city, it was worth every minute of the journey. Osteria del Viandante is a true gem, and I honestly believe it’s aiming for—and deserves—a second Michelin star. If you’re in the area, do yourself a favor and make a reservation. Regardless, the experience was truly unforgettable, and we’ll be sure to return soon!

My advice is to ask for a plate of off-menu cold cuts as an appetizer. Many, if not all, were chef-made and delicious.
