OSTERIA DEL VIANDANTE In Rubiera

It was a crazy experience in a very high level restaurant where the dishes made us travel through time, backwards and into the future. We celebrated my wife's and my birthdays and with us there was our little daughter who felt at ease thanks also to the friendliness of the staff. A little madness that I definitely recommend trying. Real compliments to the chef and staff.

Menu "il cammino del Viandante" molto ben fatto e pure una modifica ci hanno permesso perché mia moglie l'anatra non la ama ! Comunque ha assaggiato la mia portatata ; Servizio gentile ed amichevole !! Dalla carta dei vini molto importante 1 bottiglia di Dolomytos molto interessante e prezzi dei vini tutto sommato morigerati; la nostra 120€ ma si può spendere molto di più ma anche molto meno ; Esperienza molto positiva a 360 gradi; ambienti ovviamente molto eleganti, anche all'esterno imponentela strutturaed elegante! ..ma la vera differenza in positivo lha fatta un simpatico ma professionale servizio (la Sign.ra Anna su tutti) ed alcune portate veramente top; su tutti i buonissimi piatti la guancetta con purè e tartufo voto 10; Carrello formaggi wow !! Servizio Dessert gelato con...wow !! Ovviamente Ristorante che stra-consigliamo; A presto Renato ed Elena

An elegant and beautiful restaurant with an ancient and beautiful atmosphere

I thought this was an absolute top experience. The incredible setting in this former fortress. I thought the food was magical. And we opted for the premium wine formula where we asked to replace the proposed 1985 Bordeaux with a top Italian wine (and we received a beautiful Bolgheri Superiore). A truly impressive culinary experience.

Ritornare in questo bel forte medievale dopo il cambio di gestione mi ha lasciato piacevolmente sorpreso. Innanzitutto uno stupefacente restauro degli ambienti ed una nuova organizzazione degli ambienti. E soprattutto il cibo, protagoniste sono le eccellenze locali come già in precedenza, ma ancora più nobilitate e ricercate. Gli affettati (mortadella e culaccia sopra tutti) basterebbero a saziare gli appetiti più esigenti. Poi se siete anche golosi non perdetevi i plin d'anatra arrosto. Vogliamo poi parlare della carne o dei dolci..? Eccellente!

The restaurant holds one Michelin star, in my opinion it deserves a second, congratulations to all the staff, from the kitchen to the dining room. Spectacular location.

Without a doubt a place to visit...a starred one but which preserves tradition...starting from a formal but not too formal welcome...well-prepared dishes presented with unique flavours...very nice place...in key ancient but not excessively sumptuous...a beautiful evening for a place where we will certainly return...

A place that needs no introduction, fantastic menu, wine list that becomes an experience even just by reading it, passionate and competent service. What makes the place unique, however, is the pleasant sensation of feeling at home.

Impossible to give a negative rating. Spectacular location, I would say perfect in every detail. Excellent service, always present and friendly. Very personal and highly specialized. Very interesting tasting itinerary, refined and carefully prepared dishes. An interesting experience. Very deserved star.
