A nice place, not very big, that has the look of an osteria with an attention to detail that many restaurants lack. The menu is explained by the host with a choice between seafood and meat dishes. I had a bruschetta and some fusilloni with a squid ragù, very good. The service is attentive without being intrusive, I had a great time.

The spirit of the trattorias of the past. Husband and wife exquisite and genuine people like the food they offer: aubergines, dried tomatoes and more all from the trusted farmer and processed by them. A tasty and not over the top spaghetti with mussels and a cacioepepe that makes you want to have seconds. All seasoned with cordiality and short stories for zero intrusiveness. You relax and leave happy also for the absolutely correct bill. Highly recommended.

Good family-run tavern with traditional Roman dishes. The only flaw (not insignificant) is that the menu has nothing to do with the one published on its website.

A family that welcomes you with kindness and professionalism. Excellent food because the raw materials are excellent. Good wine list. Highly recommended if you want to taste good Roman cuisine.

Certainly very kind and full of attention but the difficulty in parking, some orders lost and found later and the aubergines, for me, excessively tasty did not make me fully appreciate it. However, the velodrome appetizer and the mixed chilli peppers were good

Wonderful dinner. Real Roman cuisine, warm atmosphere. Away from the tourist crowds. Always recommended.

It has little of a tavern. Family restaurant with good food and service provided by the owners. Romanesque but light food. If the location is crowded it is a bit noisy. Excellent prices. A few € below average.

Sotto l'attenta regia del grande chef Matteo Ballarini e del capace figlio il gradito ritorno suscita sempre delle impressioni positive e soddisfacenti. In un ambiente familiare e accogliente si apre con carciofi fritti,bruschette puntarelle e uovo sodo(meravigliose) e prosciutto al coltello sublime.Si prosegue con piatti di altri tempi ( pasta e broccoli in brodo di arzilla) rigatoni alla matriciana e risotto ai funghi porcini da non perdere. Si conclude con coratella,polpette di vitella al limone e una sensazione di appagamento difficile da eguagliare. Sapori netti,autentici frutto di passione e amore per far mangiare bene senza inganni.Enrico

Classica osteria romana di un tempo, a gestione familiare. Apprezzata la brevità del menù: poche proposte, tutte ispirate alla cucina romana (qualcuna con rivisitazione). Da non perdere l'antipasto del Velodromo: bruschetta con puntarelle e uovo sodo (speciale!), tortino di patate, pomodoro e cipolla, ricottina con composta di cipolle rosse, frittatina di verdure, radicchio alla brace, pane fritto (che ti sblocca un ricordo...), fagioli all'uccelletto (che invece si possono fare meglio...). Poi due classici: tonnarelli cacio e pepe e rigatoni alla carbonara (buonissimi! con un po' di pancetta in più sarebbero stati perfetti). Abbacchio con le patate (entrambi buonissimi), salsicce e broccoletti (se la verdura fosse stata più tenera e un po' più saporita avrebbe esaltato le salsicce) e coratella (tenerissima). Per chiudere, il loro zabaione al marsala (una nuvola di dolcezza!) e due crostate deliziose (crema e amarene e ricotta e more). Ben fornita la cantina. Servizio caloroso ed efficiente: i tempi a tavola contano poco se vuoi mangiare bene. Buono il rapporto qualità/prezzo

27/08/2025: In Testaccio, a true Roman restaurant. Even in the August heat, it's impossible to resist the pajata, oxtail stew with chocolate, chicory, tripe, and cacio e pepe. A menu rich in tradition and flavor, a welcome discovery. Reservations recommended.
10/08/2025: For offal lovers, the quinto quarto of Roman cuisine is a must. We came here two nights in a row and feasted on Roman-style tripe and many other offal specialties. The prices are reasonable; it's a neighborhood restaurant where tourists are rare. The welcome was warm. We'll definitely return during our next trip to Rome.

10/09/2025: Definitely the best restaurant we have visited in Rome - traditional food and wine, wonderful place, staff and great atmosphere. Would surely recommend, as it is not as touristic and rather local, we were satisfied with the visit ❤️ (the pistachio tiramisu was EXCEPTIONAL)
