Osteria del Sostegno is a charming spot with warm and attentive service that makes you feel truly welcome. The indoor space is intimate and always bustling, but we were lucky to grab one of the few outdoor tables on a sunny February day. Heaters kept us cozy, adding to the pleasant atmosphere.
We started with a delicious appetizer of artichokes and mozzarella, both fresh and flavorful. My friend ordered cacio e pepe, and in a delightful surprise, the waiter brought me a small tasting portion—such a thoughtful touch! The parmigiana was incredible—rich in flavor yet not heavy. The staff was engaging and made the experience even more enjoyable.
For two people, including starters, pasta, and water, the total was € 73, well worth it for the quality and experience. Highly recommended for an authentic and welcoming Roman meal!

A good restaurant located in a cozy side alley. Everything I ate tasted really good and I highly recommend ordering the bruschetta, it was absolutely amazing.
The staff were very nice and without us asking, they put food on a tasting plate, when one of us ordered a pasta, so the other could taste.
Recommend to go here and eat.

A family environment, a trattoria located in a hidden street a stone's throw from the Pantheon. the owner put up the winter cover so he could take advantage of the tables placed outside in the alley. You can see that he cares about the quality of the products as well as offering a very pleasant service. The truffle tagliolini were delicious!

The best dinners (plural) that we’ve had on our trip to Rome.
In this cozy, authentic, true Roman restaurant, you’ll eat a dinner you won’t forget that fast. Besides the food, the amazing service and the unmatched atmosphere make this dinner experience special.
The dinner was so good, we decided right there and then, we’d also eat the following night there. The following night was as good, if not better.
I’d like to recommend a couple of things:
I want to recommend the artichoke salad with Parmigiano Reggiano and olive oil. It really reminds me of a carpaccio di Manzo, but without the Manzo.
You also can’t do anything wrong with any of the pasta.
Try the filetto di manzo, I haven’t had a steak that good in a long time. It matches perfectly with a nice Primitivo, for example the Vespa ‘21, a very good inexpensive bottle of wine.
All deserts are amazing, especially the chocolate cake and the sorbet collection.
We’ll definitely come back here…

Love, love, love this restaurant! I’ve been here twice within the last year. Both wonderful experiences. It’s a small, charming restaurant hidden down an alley which adds to the experience. The food is excellent! The Ravioli and bruschetta are top notch. The red chicory salad with Parmesan and walnuts is one of the best salads I’ve ever had! Best meal of our trip, again!

Carbonara da urlo. Servizio da 10: Umberto che piacevole persona. Titolare Marco gagliardo. Vini al calice ottimi. Se di stagione provare le puntarelle. Ripeto carbonara meravigliosa. Ambiente carino ed inimitabile. Adatto a pranzo per lavoro e a cena per serata in relax.
