If you want to eat good fish dishes, this little osteria is for you. It's a bit cramped, but the atmosphere is welcoming, the staff are helpful, the prices are fair, and the food is slurpable!

Very good fish, traditional recipes with well-balanced combinations that showcase the diverse flavors. The location is typical, the service is truly warm and friendly, and the prices are perhaps slightly higher than expected. In any case, a recommended choice.

A warm and welcoming osteria-style place... seafood, of course! Because at Osteria Salvagente you'll only find seafood, and the seafood parmigiana, where you'll find fried sardines instead of cheese, is a prime example.
Excellent value for money and prompt, prompt service.
Wine selections... not just local ones.
The menu is only on a blackboard, and nothing is specified for appetizers, as you choose.
A variety of hot and cold appetizers with unusual pairings.
A herring with chickpeas, julienned carrots, and red onion won us over with its blend of well-balanced flavors.
Tasty fish soup... pappardelle alla busara with plenty of sauce, and the panna cotta was tops!

A wonderfully traditional, authentic restaurant with excellent food! Incredibly friendly and helpful staff! The ambiance is unique! It's reminiscent of an old harbor tavern! Simply a place to relax and enjoy! A real hidden gem! It's frequented mainly by locals from Trieste!
Special requests are happily accommodated! We will definitely be back! Thank you so much for the excellent service!
This evening will remain a very positive memory for all of us!

A simple osteria where you immediately feel at home. The food is very good (choose your antipasti from the counter: perfect!). Excellent value for money. Highly recommended.

Excellent restaurant. The appetizer buffet is truly special. The fish parmigiana and fish soup are also excellent.
We had turbot for two, which could have been better accompanied. It was a few potatoes and had a little cooking sauce.
The only downside was the price. I found it a bit pricey for an osteria. The fish was €70!
Well, maybe not quite the simple osteria experience we were looking for.

The best calamari ever! The appetizers were also outstanding, and the homemade gnocchi were simply out of this world! The wine selection was also very impressive. The service was very attentive. Definitely five stars!!
