Osteria del Morino In Caorso

The place was very nice. There were two rooms. An original two-story interior, still decorated in a Christmas theme, and an outdoor area, a veranda with large windows that will open in the summer, a bit more impersonal. The appetizer wasn't the best; the cured meats were a bit flavorless and cut way too thick. My tortelli were good, delicate, and flavorful.

Typical Piacenza-style restaurant located in the center of Caorso. The restaurant is beautifully decorated in a modern style with antique classic elements, making it truly visually appealing. The nativity scene is beautiful. The staff is very friendly and professional, nothing to complain about. But let's get to the food: excellent cured meats, especially the Piacenza salami. The veal with tuna sauce is good, but I'm not crazy about it. I think it's not round, or at least it wasn't cooked according to tradition. The cotechino was fabulous, and the savory tart was also good, as was the pumpkin flan, which leaned toward the sweet side. For the first course, I tried the signature dish, anolini in brodo, a simple and traditional dish, but here it was really well done. The broth was excellent, and these round, not too large, agnolotti were very flavorful. The second course, a braised meat, wasn't to my taste; it was a bit too spicy and not tender. The desserts were top-notch. Overall, a truly lovely dinner, and I would gladly return.

Everything was excellent. I even had my wedding reception there and couldn't be happier.

Average food, modest portions, and service could be improved. The place is very quaint and well-maintained.

This is a new place for us, but we were very happy with both the food and the service. Definitely worth a try!

Good quality Piacenza cuisine...very good service...very welcoming and well-maintained atmosphere. Prices are in line with what's offered. I recommend it.

Dinner with friends. Well presented and delicious dishes. Specifically, 4 of us ordered onion soup, pata Negra, giardiniera, roast duck, pumpkin cream, cappellacci and tortelli. Everyone was satisfied. Excellent wine cellar. Good service.
