Positives:
- Food: Excellent typical Veronese dishes. We tried the Bigoli with donkey ragù, the pappardelle with duck ragù, the horse steak, and the pastissada de caval (very good). All accompanied by house wine, and everything was delicious.
- Service: Friendly and knowledgeable waiters and waitresses
- Price: We spent €61 for two first courses, a second course, and wine.
Negatives:
- Bathroom: In 2025, you can't offer a toilet like that (squat style).
- Too many seats, and therefore little space between tables.

Kindness and good food, what more could you want? Despite the 30 degrees outside, on a July day at 12.30, we didn't hold back: my friend and I took the €26 menu including a first and second course 😂 never was a choice more appropriate! The pastisada is something divine! In addition, we had the pleasure of trying some chamomile grappa, kindly offered, and when it came to the bill we also had a small discount. Fantastic! €60 for two first courses, two second courses, a litre of water and half a litre of house wine (+ the grappa 🌼). What more could you want? I chose this trattoria for lunch before going to the Arena for La Traviata. The quality of the food is really good and it is definitely plentiful, excellent value for money, very efficient service and kindness that surprised us, even though we had finished lunch they insisted that we stop so that it would stop raining due to a sudden downpour. Unfortunately, being forced to abstain, we limited ourselves to a glass of Recioto at the end of the meal but it was definitely worth it. Highly recommended

It's now a regular stop whenever we visit Verona. The menu (primi/secondi) costs €26. Excellent bigoli, carpaccio,...very friendly and attentive service. We'll definitely be back next year! Thank you ☺️

La più antica osteria di Verona.
Posto caratteristico e cibo ottimo.
Le varie pietanze con la polenta sono fantastiche, non saprei quale consigliare.
Da ritornare assolutamente!!!
