We ate at this restaurant and had a great time. The kindness of the staff makes you feel at ease in a clean and well-furnished environment.
The food is excellent, the photos don't do it justice.
The prices are fair. I thought I would spend more because the quality of what we ate and drank is very high.
There are parking lots right next to the tavern.

The waiter was delightful, the food amazing. Also a great value for money. Honestly one of the best places I tried between Sermoneta, Cori and Giulianello.

...after a series of inspections in the area I decide to go to Marco Carpineti, Cori's wine excellence, to get some wine.
I know I'm very close, in fact I'm 25 km away. away, navigator and off you go
... on the way I realize the time and that I'm a little hungry, but I prefer to get as close as possible and wait for the early afternoon at the table, but I don't know anyone in the area
... a sign along the road in Giulianello inspires me, but outside I meet a nice lady, perhaps the owner, who tells me that the restaurant is closed, I take courage and ask her if she knows of a place in the area where I can eat well
Without hesitation he points me to the Osteria del Contadino, a little further down towards Cori
... I go there with confidence, the place is very welcoming and there are 4/5 tables already having lunch peacefully
I ask to have the menu and start looking at the courses
Delicious first courses and traditional dishes, this time I decide on tradition, so carbonara as if it were raining, in fact it's pouring outside, a time for wolves and staying warm with a good dish to taste has no equal
While waiting I have a ham and cheese appetizer brought to me and I am pleased to note that it is accompanied by a nice bruschetta with chicory
…. before biting, I ask if garlic had been added, don't worry, they tell me no and I'm very happy, ... I hate garlic, especially raw
The cheeses and ham are delicious and the bruschetta really makes this frugal appetizer a very well made entree.
…. I take a quarter of the house wine, hoping it was Nero Buono from Cori, I like it a lot and I always take it from Carpineti, we are there, but then he tells me it's from Velletri, not very far away, but the wine is still good
The rigatoni carbonara arrives, as you make them at home, creamy, but without crunchy bacon, mostly it has been sautéed a little, to avoid the strength of the grease, very good
Then I have the menu brought back to me, I had noticed something intriguing among the second courses and in fact the Pannicolo braised in red wine had already made its way into my heart, but I don't take a side dish, to stay lighter, hahaha!
As soon as the second one arrives and the aroma invades the place, from the presentation it seems very good, I sink a piece of Artena bread, strictly km. 0, in the sauce and I no longer have any doubts, a truly great dish, made with a poor but very succulent cut of meat, given the marbling of the meat
At the bottom of the plate a nice, very creamy and slightly spicy mashed potato adds an extra something to everything
You can see that it was prepared with love, marinated for a long time to make the wine and aromas taste good and then cooked for a long time in a good and fragrant red, fantastic
Then, since I'm not at all greedy, I ask for a good homemade tiramisu and coffee

the farmer's tavern was a beautiful rediscovery! I came here with my parents 30 years ago. After not coming for a few years, I decided to return with my family and I rediscovered the authentic flavors and human warmth that I remembered with so much affection.
on Easter Monday we ate mixed appetizers, pasta with ragù or with truffles and bacon, baked kid and braised pannicolo. everything was delicious, unforgettable, at excellent prices.
generations change but the quality of the people, even before the restaurants, remains unchanged.
I recommend everyone to try this place

As pilgrims of the Via Francigena we were welcomed with great availability for a quick snack on Easter Sunday despite not having booked and despite the place being super crowded for Easter lunch. Thank you for the generous welcome!

Cucina semplice ma anche molto genuina, che promuove i prodotti del territorio così come le proposte stagionali. Niente sofisticazioni e tanta sostanza. Eccellente la scelta dei vini, a livello di ristoranti stellati. Personale gentilissimo e accogliente, e facilità di parcheggio
