Osteria del Cinghiale Bianco In Firenze

BEWARE THE SOLO DINER . Not as great for a single diner. This was the one restaurant I really wanted to go to . I phoned and made a reservation and was told I would have to sit at the bar. No big deal. When I got there, there was a huge line out the door. With a reso, I got in immediately. This is great. I walked through the kitchen and was shown a seat at a bar that is disconnected from the ambiance of the restaurant. It's a hallway style area with patio tables in the back and when seated, your back is to the kitchen and toilette. The bar bell for servers goes off all the time. I get that these restaurants need to make money and single diners typically don't spend the same as 2 ppl. I'm not faulting the place for this or the set up. I'm simply saying, it's not as great for a single diner than for those of bigger parties and tou ptobably do t get to have the full experience dining there. So be prepared. The food was good and the bartender was friendly and welcoming. Would I go back? Yes, but not as a lone diner.

This review is long overdue! Dinner in June for a party of six can result in a long wait, but I booked well in advance and it turned out to be a wonderful decision! From the bruschetta al pomodoro to the simple spaghetti al ragù and the highly recommended pappardelle al ragù di cinghiale and panzanella, our dining experience was fantastic from start to finish. A special treat was having the owner, Massimo Masselli, join us while we enjoyed our tiramisu and panna cotta desserts. Absolutely memorable!

Exceptional service with excellent food recommendations. Try the onion flan with truffle. Steak and desserts also were outstanding.

Does everybody knows this restaurant was featured in Stanley tucci's documentary? Like many famous restaurants in Florence, there was a queue outside the door. However, I was able to get reservations previously Really looked forward to the meal and the ambience of the restaurant The ambience was there and it was an extremely busy restaurant My first course was really good with pasta and fantastic sauce I felt the wild boar for my main meal was slightly dry and polenta didn't carry any flavour I fear that this restaurant has become an icon that doesn't have the food to back it up There are some fantastic restaurants in Florence that you can choose I would go back to this one but I would probably try others beforehand

Serviti con tanta cura da Lorena, abbiamo gustato i piatti tipici toscani, in particolare un'ottima fiorentina, accompagnati da un ottimo vino.

Abbiamo chiamato un po' all'ultimo e ci hanno prenotato un tavolo per il secondo turno della serata. Al nostro arrivo sono stati puntualissimi e con un'attesa di pochi minuti ci hanno fatto accomodare. Servizio veloce e ottimo, locale accogliente e caratteristico, piatti gustosi con un costo adeguato alla qualità delle materie prime. Ci siamo trovati molto bene, super consigliato.
