At Osteria del Castellazzo, you eat as traditional cuisine should: without shortcuts.
The raw ingredients are evident, the dishes are meticulously crafted, and the flavors are distinct, undiluted. They don't pretend to be "gourmet" here; they simply work hard—and that's much more difficult.
The service is attentive but never intrusive, and the atmosphere is warm and authentic, the kind where you truly relax.
Every dish arrives with a precise meaning: just the right portions, balanced, and no gimmicks.
It's one of those places that doesn't need to impress, because it convinces.

ABSOLUTE Cinema. I couldn't have eaten better. Incredible stuff, Savarin with tongue, donkey stew, coffee with a mocha pot, OOOOH. They were so fizzy, I don't understand why it was empty when I was there, but it's better this way -- the fewer people there are, the better, tbh -- after all, we know people have questionable taste. Incredible, I had a great time.

An excellent experience at this osteria in the heart of Salsomaggiore. The service was excellent, friendly, and welcoming. Perhaps a little slow, but that wasn't a problem for me. The dishes were all very good, as well as sophisticated in flavor, not always 100% traditional (and that's fine). The wine recommended by the host was good. The place was a little cold for my taste; I would have preferred a little more warmth. Still, I recommend stopping by if you're in the area.
