Osteria del Capitolo In Ceglie messapica

In search of typical local cuisine we entered the alleys of Ceglie to avoid the "tourist trap" restaurants with menus complete with photos of the dishes and with approximate translations of grilled meat which becomes Roast Meat. We find the Osteria del Chapter and without hesitation we sit down in a familiar and welcoming environment. The 3 of us ordered a house appetizer for 2 people consisting of many different truly tasty and genuine dishes. Followed by orecchiette with chop sauce (meat rolls), mixed grilled meat, artisanal and non-frozen fried potatoes, mixed salad. Everything really excellent. More than adequate account. We were kindly offered a homemade laurel bitters. Very helpful and kind staff. I will definitely go back

Nice meal. Authentic Italian cuisine, choice between a few dishes without a menu, delicious. The cook came to have a chat and drink a limoncello, highly recommended.

I have been to this family-run tavern many times and each time I have left satisfied both for the quality of the food and for the true flavors that have always characterized this wonderful land. Super recommended.!!!

I read the negative reviews, which I honestly didn't understand. The owner, although particular, was very kind. The food is of excellent quality, home-made and genuine cuisine. Wine, water, appetizers, first course and dessert, all very plentiful €30 per person

Il locale è semplice ma ben curato e tipico pugliese con mura e volte in pietra. I piatti sono molto buoni con prodotti di qualità che esprimono la più genuina ed autentica tradizione culinaria locale.

Vengo qui fin da quando sono bambino. L'atmosfera è molto accogliente e piacevole. I peopietari sono super simpatici e gentilissimi. Ve lo super consiglio!

Wonderful experience. Found by chance on Easter Monday, we ate divinely. Genuine food that takes you back to the ancient flavors of the past. Family atmosphere and friendly, fast service. Truly a wonderful discovery. We will be back

Home cooking, home service. What I didn't like was that I didn't have the food menu with relative prices which resulted in a rather expensive bill compared to both the menu consumed but, above all, we noticed a notable increase in prices compared to the last time we were there. .
