Osteria del Buonconvento In Sorrento

This place is amazing. The food is better than most restaurants we have been in around Sorrento. You find locals eating here which is a good thing. There is so much history within. Give it a go, you will not be disappointed. We will be back ourselves.

✨ Carefully decorated, but the wine is forgettable The Osteria del Buonconvento has a truly pleasant atmosphere, with a carefully crafted decor that invites you to linger. The food was good, uninspiring, but overall satisfying. The problem was the wine: I ordered a glass of Barolo (€15) and unfortunately was served a wine with a rather suspect orange color, an acidic flavor and aroma, the wrong temperature, and even some cork. When I pointed this out to the waiter, instead of apologizing or immediately offering a substitution, he insisted I continue tasting it. Only at the end did he offer me another wine, but by then I was no longer willing to risk it. It's a shame, because the place is worth a visit, but certain details—like the careful selection of wine and the attention to detail—make the difference in a restaurant that strives for quality.

A very good experience, nice setting, very good and well-presented dishes. Quiet, unlike other restaurants in the city center. Very good value for money. We'll definitely be back...

After being in Sorrento for the last week I’ve tried several places and this one we passed by several times and decided to try it on our last night. Being let down on some of the highly rated places this was a very well welcomed surprised on the whole experience. You can taste the love and care in the food. We got the calamari, chef special of Seabass with vegetables, meat sauce with a home made paste, and the Diablo sauce pasta. All food was seasoned perfect and done perfectly. Do not pass on this hidden gem. My experience is 10 years in the Resturant industry in US and my wife’s experience is 25 years in high end Resturant’s around the world.

Delicious fresh Italian food, great service and unique atmosphere. An evening to remember in Sorrento. Highly recommend.

Great food and service, would definitely recommend

My friends and I were searching for a typical restaurant that would allow us to taste authentic Sorrento food and we found buon convention. Salvatore the manager was great with a very unique personality. We had a great experience and excellent service that made us feel like we were at someone’s home kitchen in Sorrento. We were delighted with how delicious the food was and with the hospitality.

Locale suggestivo, ex convento in centro a Sorrento. Le teche piene di oggetti antichi illuminate con led blu rendono il locale particolare. Il menù contiene piatti tipici e molto buoni come: gnocchi alla sorrentina o friarielli con cozze, melanzane e spada. La pasta è fatta in casa e si apprezza il gusto. Il vino abbia preso dello sfuso della casa anch’esso valido ( Falanghina). Il personale e il responsabile sono molto ospitali e gentili. I tempi di attesa un po’ lunghi, ma il locale era al completo ..ci sta. Vivamente consigliato

Harika bir dekorasyonu olan, her köşesi antica objelerle ve eski kitaplarla dekore edilen çok hoş bir mekan. Yemekleri lezzetli, personeli de çok ilgili ve yardımsever.
