Excellent food with quite generous dishes

The place is simple but very nice, the service is as good as the food. The raw materials are good, I recommend the giardiniera and it is delicious, made by them.

We had dinner a few evenings ago at the tables outside the restaurant. Free parking. Quiet place. Quality food. Unfortunately the service was slow: it needs to be improved. High prices.

This typical Italian restaurant is located in the pleasant village of Ispra. The menu is completely in Italian and we were surprised.

Were there today as a group of five and with a dog. We were there a little earlier than the official opening times. It was great to have a little chat with the boss (stood outside with a cigar 😅). A super likeable person. He had a really great time with our dog (Aussi girl). We ordered from the daily menu, vegetarian macaroni, beef steak, and fresh fish from Lake Maggiore. Everything tasted great, was beautifully prepared and lovingly delivered by the service. The menu was in German, English and Italian, so choosing the dishes was very easy. Mario, that's the name of the owner, is really recommended.
