We visited Osteria dei Viaggiatori with a group of friends, and the experience was truly excellent in every way. We ate truly deliciously, with carefully prepared dishes, authentic flavors, and top-quality ingredients. The staff deserves special mention: friendly, helpful, and incredibly kind, always attentive without ever being intrusive. We started with the five house appetizers, each more delicious than the last: • Puff pastry with potato salami, • Carpaccio with almonds and truffle oil, • Truly exceptional marinated fish carpaccio, • Savoy cabbage with bagna cauda, • Irresistible fried tomini cheeses. A true feast for the palate. For starters, we tried both options: lasagna and gnocchi with buttered rose petals, truly excellent and unique. For our second course, we tried the braised veal cheek, incredibly tender and flavorful, accompanied by zucchini as a side dish. Simple yet truly spectacular in flavor, it perfectly complemented the dish. In short, everything was delicious, from start to finish. An osteria that exudes passion for cooking and hospitality. We decided to stop for lunch at this restaurant on our way back from a trip to Prato Nevoso. The restaurant is very large, with multiple rooms and a casual atmosphere. There's a set menu that includes a variety of appetizers, among which I particularly enjoyed the bagna cauda, ​​fried tomini, and Alba cheese. Two hearty first courses, the gnocchi alle rose (gnocchi with rose petals) being a specialty. For our main course, we chose carne alla losa (meat cooked on a stone at about 300°F) and cooked to our liking. Dessert and coffee were included. The waiters were very kind and helpful. We spent about €40 each, but we were able to take any leftovers home. It's worth the stop.

An hour from Turin, this place offers a good Sunday menu for €38, with 4/5 appetizers, 2 first courses, a choice of second courses, a delicious polenta concia, and a selection of desserts. They come back several times to reorder the dishes. The staff are always kind and smiling, and dogs are very welcome.

Merry Christmas🎄. Today we had Christmas lunch with our children, grandchildren, and daughters-in-law at this Osteria, located in a hamlet of Noasca. As soon as we arrived, the festive atmosphere was already in the air, a humble yet magical Christmas. The location is welcoming, warm, and clean. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. A journey of flavor, starting with the appetizers. The cabbage with Piedmontese sauce was excellent, the mushroom boats were delicious, and the salmon trout carpaccio with herbs was amazing. Exceptional!!! Everything was delicious. The homemade gnocchi, with rose sauce, were excellent. But the best was the meat cooked in the losa style. To finish with a homemade apple pie, with an amazing cream and strawberry sauce. What can I say... A must-go, whenever you want to eat really well and leave satisfied. Our son Maurizio brought us, a great choice. Very good and professional. A round of applause for the chef.

As always, everything is great!!! Delicious food, generous portions, and super friendly staff! As always, one of those places worth returning to and making known, and the price for the quality and quantity is their strong point!!

The best restaurant in the Orco Valley

This is my third time at Osteria Dei Viaggiatori, and I can say I've always had a wonderful time. The location, nestled in the mountainous landscape of Frera Superiore, is very welcoming and relaxing. I've always opted for their set menu, consisting of five appetizers, two first courses, a second course plus polenta/side dish, dessert, drinks, and coffee. Everything is homemade, from the bread brought to the table to the dessert. The (typical) dishes are very good and plentiful. On the previous two visits, for my second course, I had carne alla losa, a very popular and requested dish at the restaurant, so much so that the hot stones with the cooking meat on top come out in waves; this last time, I opted for wild boar stew cooked in red wine, accompanied, of course, with polenta. While everything is delicious, the following dishes deserve special mention: the fried tomini (exquisite), the Alba cheese in truffle sauce, the rose petal gnocchi with butter, the tagliatelle with sausage ragù, the carne alla losa (truly high-quality meat), and the panna cotta. The wait staff is always courteous and friendly. I will definitely be back.
