My wife and I spent a fantastic New Year's Eve (and part of the night) there, with great food, excellent service, live music, and the absolutely fantastic other guests at this charming venue. Thank you all for the fun and a fantastic start to the New Year.

I've been to this restaurant several times and have always had excellent food. The sidewalk tables suffer a bit from the traffic on Gregorio VII, and there are plenty of seats inside, so it can be very noisy when it's busy. The table settings are traditional, with fabric tablecloths. The menu is traditional Roman, featuring all the specialties plus a few international dishes. The waiters are old-school, very professional, and the service is very fast. The prices are reasonable for both the quality of the food, the ingredients, and the service. I'll be back and always recommend it here in the area. The pizza is also excellent. The photos are from a recent lunch for three during the week.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Osteria dei Pontefici – A Wonderful Experience Our visit to Osteria dei Pontefici in Rome was truly amazing. The food was incredible from start to finish. The pizza was wonderful, perfectly cooked and full of flavor, and the appetizers were super tasty and beautifully prepared. The service was warm, friendly, and attentive, making us feel very welcome throughout the entire meal. It was a great experience overall, one that we would happily repeat. Highly recommended!

12/01/2026: Excellent place, we went for a family lunch. Excellent food, nice place, friendly and always helpful waiters. The fireplace flue needs some work; the room got foggy during lunch. The only flaw is the owner's infamous quip, "Don't order all different things or we'll never show up." He even missed an order by saying this. Tip: If you can't order all different dishes, reduce the menu options; otherwise, everyone can order what they like. Other than that, everything was excellent; we'll definitely be back.
30/12/2025: We had some pizzas, excellent in my opinion, very kind waiters, everything perfect.
