Osteria dei Mercanti In Carmignano

Arrived there at eight, took 15 minutes before we got water, 50 minutes before we got our drinks. We ordered a platter, two pasta dishes and tagliate steak. The mercanti platter was great, so that brings it up to 3 stars. But the waiting time was so long. Others arrived, ordered, got food, ate, and left before we got our pasta. The pasta dishes were ok, and there were some language difficulties so the steak we tried to say we wanted with the pasta showed up later, but as a tourist i cant blame the owner for only speaking italian. Although continuing to speak italian to us when we clearly did not speak it felt weird. We where there for two and a half hours for that dinner, and the waiter never tried to ask us if we wanted more to drink while waiting, even though all our glasses were empty. Some of the issues might have been a language problem, but we still felt the service was very lacking

A very special and suggestive place for those who love to combine gastronomy with a bit of history. The environment is welcoming and full of furnishings from other times. The spaces are discrete and there is also the possibility of eating outside in the private courtyard surrounded by a garden full of plants and flowers. The staff is very friendly and professional and the waiting times are perfectly within the norm.

Super authentic restaurant. I recommend it to everyone, go there, even if you want to go to Florence, because you won't find anything like it.

We've been there on a quiet Tuesday evening. The Service was very good, even the Menue was in englisch and german. The Food was fresh and tasty, get some vegetarian food for my collegue was no Problem. The Restaurant itself is a bit hidden, but with a nice Interieur and a beautifull back Terrasse and small garden with lemon and grape trees. We had a great time and "la Mama" took good care of us. Next time, we will visit this place again.

I wanted to tell you about a terrible evening. Greeted badly and forgotten in a corner. 30 minutes of waiting to have the menu to consult. Terrible service. Then, when the food arrived I had to reevaluate everything. Wonderful food. I also reevaluated the service since there were 2 buses of kids. A bad evening can happen, but for the food they were really good. Congratulations.

una ragù all’anatra degno di nota, come l’attenzione per i celiaci. Anche l’entrè di fettunta arrivata per tutti, celiaci e non. E per terminare un amaro alle erbe favoloso. Il posto è molto caratteristico e il giardino permette di rilassarsi prima, durante e dopo il pasto.

At first glance it seems to be back in the 60s/70s. However, the place is welcoming and they were very kind in advising me. We ate really well on the veranda in a small garden. The pasta made by them is excellent, the steak is excellent. Spent 50 euros with a first, second and delicious dessert. To return!!

Arriviamo poco prima della chiusura pomeridiana , e ci hanno accolti senza problema. Molto bello il locale, caratterisco. La proprieta' ci ha illustrato il menu' , senza forzare alcun piatto( in chiusura il target e'.. qualcosa al volo!). Optiamo per 2 insalate di carciofi e pecorino, milto buone e bilanciate. 2 ravioli della casa con un ripieno fantastico. Il peposo come secondo superbo.. Bravi davvero! Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo, porzioni abbondanti.. GRAZIE.. ci avete fatto sentire come a casa nostra.. anche se dista 350km.
