Excellent stop just outside the Barberino del Mugello toll booth. Even in the middle of August without booking a place for 4. Excellent food. Fair prices (3 fantastic first courses, 1 second course, 3 side dishes, wine, water and coffee) 70 euros. For those who want grilled meat.

8/24 today we came here. The scent you smell in the parking lot is something captivating, it tells you that their specialty is definitely grilled meat. However, we opted for a Bengodi starter of Tuscan cured meats and cheeses and two pappardelle with porcini mushrooms. We were inspired by the first courses because at the entrance there is a department dedicated to fresh pasta with the sfoglina that prepares the various pastas on the spot. Everything was very welcome and very good. We will most likely return. Advise

Crostini eccezionali, carne molto molto buona, funghi molto buoni servizio accurato e ottimi cantucci fatti da loro. La torta della nonna merita una menzione speciale. Prezzo adeguato. Assolutamente consigliato.

02/08/2024: The carbonara is perfect. I just wish it was a little less salty. The bathroom is very clean and the staff are friendly. I was happy to have a pleasant meal time.

12/06/2024: I left Sicily to taste their lampredotto, they prepared it in front of me and it was a discovery of fantastic flavours, they are also very kind and friendly, excellent service, I recommend stopping to eat at L'Trippaio di Sant'Ambrogio, in is worth
11/06/2024: Got here at 10 on a Friday, looking for a quick brekkie. Yes, we were eating tripe sandwiches for brekkie. When in Florence right? Everything was just freshly made. Seems as though they were just opening. The tripe was ready, so we ordered one of those, and we wanted to try the tongue, which JUST finished cooking. It was freshly sliced for our panini. Both were good but I preferred the tripe. The tongue needed more flavor. Perhaps some more salt, or some more of the red/green sauce? I do really like the shop in Central Market but if you’re at Sant’Ambrogio, this is still a good spot for lampredotto.
