Extraordinary value for money both for lunch and dinner.
Traditional dishes offered at affordable prices.
For lunch with €13 you can have a full menu (first course, second course, water, wine and side dishes buffet) while for dinner the price goes up to €25 (€30 if you choose the option with a first course bus).
The items on the menu are not many and those present are well prepared (the sauce for the vitello tonnato has more mayonnaise and capers than tuna but for the rest the dishes are good).
Amazing value for money in a lively and picturesque environment

If you are looking for an authentic experience of Bergamo cuisine, Trattoria da Ambrosio da Giuliana is a must. A true temple of taste, where tradition and quality meet in every dish.
Food: Bergamo Excellence
Here, cooking is an art and every course is prepared with fresh and genuine ingredients. The menu is a tribute to Bergamo tradition, with iconic dishes such as:
• Casoncelli alla bergamasca – Ravioli filled with meat, seasoned with melted butter, crispy bacon and sage. Simply perfect!
• Polenta Taragna – Creamy, rich and tasty, accompanied by melted cheeses and local cured meats. A dish that warms the heart.
• Donkey stew with polenta – Soft, succulent and cooked for a long time to enhance its flavor. A real delight.
• Risotto al Taleggio – A creamy and fragrant first course, celebrating one of the area's iconic cheeses.
Brasato al Valcalepio – Very tender meat, slowly cooked in local wine, that melts in the mouth.
Torta Donizetti – To finish on a sweet note, a soft and fragrant dessert, dedicated to the famous composer from Bergamo.
Atmosphere: Familiar and Welcoming
Here you can breathe the air of the trattorias of the past: warm, convivial and without frills. The staff is kind, attentive and always ready to recommend the dish of the day. You eat with a smile and you feel at home!
Value for Money: Exceptional
Abundant portions, authentic flavors and more than fair prices. A place where taste meets tradition without compromise.

What can I say? A special place, an institution in Bergamo, hardly comparable with other places, it must be tried.

We found ourselves by chance in this fantastic trattoria, the owner Giuliana is unique in her way of working and above all super welcoming, a fantastic person, like all her staff.
We spent a perfect evening in the restaurant, between the environment, good food and the professionalism of the staff, also meeting 'Il Bocia', historic Ultras of Atalanta who was there to greet the legendary Giuliana.
I can't wait to go back, highly recommended!

5 stars on all fronts.
A trattoria where you are warmly welcomed from the first moment.
Fantastic food, authentically local.
Truly incredible price: €25 for a first course, second course, dessert, coffee and unlimited water — never seen anything like it for such high quality.
We also had the pleasure of chatting with the owner, Giuliana, a big fan of Atalanta, and with the historic leader of the Dea ultras: Bocia.
We had missed our flight that morning, but the evening at the trattoria was an unforgettable surprise.
Greetings from the people of the Aosta Valley!

Incredibile entusiasmante !
